The manual says one needs to clean some pipe (orange) which is connected to the air filter . has anyone done that so far ?

@ dman: Some nice jumps at the end of the video. hope the impulse has the same spec frame and suspension.

the nxr has those side panels that extend into a exhaust guard\race number plate. Sorely missing this classic drt bike design cue on the impulse.

yup the jumps were good at the end , but the same can be done on the impulse also.

I have heard 2 stories where people trying to do moto-x bent the chassis of the impulse. dont know how high they were jumping

I guess they probably bent the chassis trying to ape their mx idols.

Id been to a couple of mrf SX events here in bangalore and racers on the local bikes knew what heights their rxs, rtrs and fieros could take. They'd slow down or pace themselves before the jumps. Couldnt see any full throttle jumps. That was boring though.

bend chassis means good bye to the frame if i am not wrong. quite an expensive proposition to do even on our Impulse.

This is a place called murbad, ahead of kalyan, and was some forest land, it was fun, and had sandy patches too, its quite tricky on those sand patches, you have to have speed in your favour, else you get stuck.

If I am not mistaken , murbad is on the road that connects Malshej ghat/ale pahata and kalyan. been there once i was going from Malshej to Matheran.

they did the same in mine too, dunno y, when the manual clearly mentions do not open air filter till 15k Km until there's a prob

hero svc guys are amazing
manual says to clean oil filter and centrifuge, they don't touch it coz it takes hardwork to clean it
manual says don't mess with air filter or carb, and they go ahead and ruin it

these hero guys are crazy....... its unbeliveable i took my bike to get it checked for the problem and the question my driving skills.........

as if they were the ones riding before my bike was service twice.......!

Bought 1 pair of knuckle guard today for 72 rs. they had to be fitted by the screws of brake and clutch lever joining screw. but the original screws were not long enough and didnt came out by other side of hole so the nut couldnt be fitted. showroom guys are not sure if the knuckleguards came with screws. they will look at spare parts dept for them tomorrow. hero should have provided the screws in the knuckleguard pack. grrrrrr. hopeless
