Congrats brother. I can totally relate to ur 350 vs 500 confusion and then the final judgement. Only sad thing I din get mine yet, I am messed up with the finances.

I saw 3 tbs today on my way to work. It stands out in the crowd n looks great, that's no news. But It's so tempting, I feel like selling everything n getting it.

Thanks a lot bro.... One can easily feel the difference in the torque between 350 vs 500... and I thought, if I'm spending 1.4L, let's just put in some more and get the best steed available with the brand... It's not everyday that you buy a new bike...

I hope you get your TB soon... Keep the passion alive and it'll drive you to clear your finances.... Hope to see you join the brotherhood soon...

        Keep thumping...!! Ride Safe...!!

            • Fifth [Paid] Servicing At JAF

Today, Blue Bird had its fifth [paid] servicing done at Jaf Auto Garage, Pudupet, Chennai. I and Blue Bird were present at 9:45 am. We were directed to get the water-wash done at another place called Sterling Water Service, which we did. Then the service started at JAF. Wurth synthetic engine oil was poured in my presence. I was recommended an engine oil additive of the same brand for which I agreed. Air filter was also replaced as recommended in the owner's manual. Brake oil was also topped up. The low beam was playing hide and seek during my recent Ooty trip. I was directed to a nearby electrician Taj, who removed the bulb, checked and refitted the headlamp assembly to find it worked flawlessly. I requested Mr Jafar Ali to test-ride Blue Bird, which he did and he certified that everything was okay. He recommended oil replacement at every 4 k km as against 6 k km specified in the owner's manual. I have decided to follow Mr Jafar Ali's recommendation. I am fully satisfied with the service rendered by JAF. I was back at home by 11:45 am!

From the past couple of days, the low beam again started playing hide-and-seek. So, today, I took my Blue Bird to the electrician Taj at Pudupet. He opened the sheath to find the green wire of the low beam was cut. So, he attached a small piece of additional wire to increase the length so that it would not be subjected to tension while turning the handlebar, connected it with the both the ends of the cut wire and wound PVC tape. Now, the low beam is back to its glory. Taj charged me ₹ 70.

Yesterday, I observed a black patch of tar [or plastic bag, I am not sure] on the exhaust of Blue Bird. So, today, I took out my Victorinox Swiss army knife, a bowl of kerosene, a kitchen multipurpose cleaner, an old can of Brasso and an old tooth-brush, applied kerosene liberally using the tooth-brush all over the affected place followed by liberal spread of kitchen multipurpose cleaner, scrubbed, started, kept the engine idling for some time and when the exhaust became hot, I started scrubbing the affected area using the Victorinox pen-knife carefully. The black layer came out easily. I tried this cycle several times. Finally, cleaned the affected area with Brasso. The multi-pronged attack paid the dividends!

After the running in of TB500, has anybody thought of changing the stock exhaust with that of Cafe Racer's. I am thinking because in TB350 & TB500 the exhausts are the same whereas the cc is different. Bigger cc would need a different exhaust. It cannot be that one exhaust fits all.

But as for today , there is an issue.
Thee idling RPM is well beyond 1200-1300 ,
Any suggestions on how to deal with the same..? Any suggestions will be much appreciated , Thank you
                              Hello Rishi,

My bull is almost 11 months old now. I had this RPM problem once...

Suddenly the RPM increased. went to Service station and the owner caught it in a min. There is a thin tube attached to the lower end of the EFI unit. the other end of that tube is attached to the air pressure controlling unit below the tank.

That tube had cuts and air pressure for EFI decreased hence RPM increased. Once the tube was fixed, RPM got fixed.

So get it checked from the service. station if you still have the problem.

If thats not the problem then there is a screw in EFI unit to control the RPM. pls dont do it yourself... get it fixed from right mechanic.

                              Cheers, Amit
                              Best Regards,

                                Hi,

How much KM's u have done on your bull?

If more than 2000K then try exhaust from Qualitymetalindustries.com

Its an original look alike with nice sound.

For me, it was a nice direct fit...

                                Problems I faced with it:

initially, there was loud blasting or back fire. My mileage increased to 37 KMPL. I checked with ASS, One RE service center said there is no problem... other said to put back the stock one as the silencer is free flow....

I was not happy with anyone's answer as i was not willing to hear that scooter like sound of the stock silencer.

So i tried to find the reason. Got to know that for EFI engines... free flow is not a matter...

In EFI unit, there is a thin black tube which was the problem. IT cracked and was letting more air in due to which there was lean burn and hence more mileage... and due to more air... backfir and some time blasting ...

I got tgat tube fixed and the backfire reduced... blasting disappeared...

You can try that Silencer if you dont want a major change in look.

Otherwise you can also go for goldstar from SansInc.

                                Cheers, Amit
                                Best Regards,
