    Engine overheating on yamaha fzs

Couple of days ago I installed performance air filter from HP brand. When I crossed 95 kmh with pillion rider, bike gone out of breath, felt like the sparkplug stopped igniting. Felt a lot of heat comingoff the engine block...what might be the cause??

How is this one mounted ? I think for this you will have to first open the seat then click a pic from sidewise

Can the AHO be disabled and normal switch can be applied?
Because I don't think headlights turning on during bright sunny day would make any sense as it is not visible in sunlight.also I guess the bulb and battery life will be less now

I never had this problem before and after that and also I tested Agian on that same hill replicating the exact driving conditions there was no backfire again, kindly help me out should I give my bike to the service centre or was it nothing thanks in advance
I guess that pop was normal as it happens when there is great change in throttle inputs within a second because more than required amount of fuel is present as just a sec before throttle was at full so fuel was supplied according to input and then a sudden blip in throttle results in sudden burn of excess fuel and hence the sound. this is more noticeable and enjoyable in higher cc bikes, But i might be wrong so wait for responses from senior and experienced members, But don't be worried.
    Enjoy your ride.

    Nothing much,
Just the new colours and graphics, absence of headlight switch due to AHO, longer rear mudgaurd in place of tyre hugger and now the brochure states the power as 13.2ps compared to 13.1ps of pre AHO model.
    Thanks
Sorry i missed the biggest, important and noticeable change that is 14% more fuel efficiency compared to older fz fi, i came to know about it when this was highlighted by a member over here.

I think you are doing something wrong while calculating 61-62kmpl is quite impossible on fz .

But yes buddy this time i will calculate it through tank to tank method and update here, let me hit the reserve(last bar) and i will fill to the brim and then ride till the moment last bar starts blinking and then again refuel till the brim and divide the distance with the amount of fuel it took at the the time re fuelling till the brim.
    Thanks
