instead simply take the spare key to a local key maker and get a new one cut, it will cost you around Rs.100~150.. I had a few keys made a couple of months ago. One thing is, try not to take the bike with you.. just take the key and get it cut (they use machines and it is pretty accurate), i say this because I am not comfortable someone knowing the bike to which the key belongs
these keys don't have an immobilizer/sensor etc.. so its a pretty straightforward mechanical key cutting.
Thanks dear for your reply [emoji8] .

Or you can take it to a key shop and they'll make you an EXACT KTM HEADSTOCK KEY as the stock, for a few hundred bucks, if that's okay for you. Use the duplicate key as your primary, and keep the original safe.

Wierd issue on my 2015 RC390.

Everything was working fine but the right indicators have stopped working. The lights don't flash and it doesn't show in the console either. What could be the issue?

But as soon as I hit the left indicator, the lights work fine and the turn indicator shows up on the console. Everything else works fine (Horn, other lights etc..)

Since I consider the indicator to be a very important part of my riding, I would really appreciate if you could help me!

Good idea. Just tried this out. Opened up the indicator housing and used my multimeter to check. The switch is working fine. It is completing the circuit as it should on the left and the right side. But still, the right side refuses to show on the console and refuses to light up the indicator LEDs.

I checked voltages and manually wanted to jump a wire to force a connection too. And that didn't work either. Any other solution?

since you seem comfortable playing with the wires, why not try and connect another known working indicator to the right side wiring connector and vice versa

Fixed it. The wires on the right hand side front mirror were being pinched below the screws. Had to remove it, fix it and put it back. Works fine now!

The bike has been rigorously checked and it is dead straight and there is no bending of fork or whatever. But there is a tiny nag. The clutch lever ever so slightly touches the windscreen if the handle is pushed to the extreme right. I am assuming it is a bent connecting rod on the clip ons?

So the clearance with respect to the horn switch on the left with the tank fairing is normal. But with the right, the handle moves more than it's supposed to. The ignition switch is more closer to the tank fairing when moved.

                      Would appreciate some help please!

just compare it with another rc390 at the showroom, and fix accordingly. we really can't make out much with just your explanation and eyeballing stuff textually

Finding the older model fairing and sticker is very difficult now, if you are lucky some dealer will have old stock. But all new stock fairings will be from orange/black color from the 2017+ RC200/390 series. You can try the white faring from 2018 RC200 but finish is more glossy compared to older RC's.

Will cost 2500+ taxes, stickers will be separate 600+ taxes.

Hi. Sometimes the clip on handle rod bends due to excessive force (usually after a fall) and hence it almost touches the tank when turning. You can replace it. It will hopefully fix your problem.

                            Cheers!

                              Hi
I know this is an RC390 forum but since the RC200 shares almost all the physical aspects with a 390 I've decided to discuss this issue here. So I notice a considerable gap in the tank cover as shown in the picture and when I enquired about it in the service center they responded by saying that it is simply the character of the bike and due to the vibrations some panels are bound to come loose and that it isn't something to be worried about. So what I want to know is if this is normal in all RCs and should I go by what the service people said or did I just receive and badly put together unit? Any and all feedback is much appreciated as this has been bothering me for quite a while now. Cheers. Click image for larger version

If you're referring to the battery box flap cover gap, then yes, that's normal. Most bikes have some gaps even though they sit flush, they will have some gap. And no, it isn't something to be worried, unless you have trouble locking and vibrations coming out from that place. Don't sweat it.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                                THE END
