if you are doing that and having the issue, get it changed under warranty.. they can't charge you for a lemon that they gave you.... this doesn't look like a pump issue, mostly fuel level sensor issue.. s1d might have a better view of this...

I took it the service centre in Electronic City, Bangalore. I am a frequent visitor to this showroom/centre. The guy over there opened the petrol tank and examined and told me "Sir , the fuel pump is not working properly. You have to change it and it will cost you around 6K" . So far there is no other problem than this with the bike. I clocked over 13K km and serviced the bike in regular intervals. If any one else from the community had faced this kind of issue, kindly help me with this.

Hopefully at the max it will involve removing the clutch side cover & clutch basket.. nothing major if the mechanic knows what he is doing. I've had the entire shift shaft replaced on the day i took delivery of the bike .
Get it checked at the svc.. and yes it will be done under warranty.
Thank you sir. Will get it checked at the SVC Tommorow.

I'm planning to visit the SVC. Will it be covered under warranty? And I hope they don't have to open the engine or anything like that.

Now, if the same battery is subject to electrical load such as usage of headlamp at night, you can drain your battery sooner than the battery can charge even though the bike has run the same kays. Do keep a tab for a few days and make sure the battery lugs are torqued properly and seated.

Everything is working fine since replacing the battery.

So after getting it jump started i brought it near a battery dealer near my house and checked the battery again, after turning the ignition off for quite some time, the bike again starts at one go ( i guess the battery was charged on the way home ~25km) but upon measuring the voltage the guy said its about to die soon and you should get it changed asap (low voltage when starting up) so i got a new one for 2.1k and the error is not to be seen since then.

swap the battery with a known good one from another bike at the svc and do the basic voltage tests at the terminals, that will confirm if it's the battery or the stator or rr unit. Exchange of old battery will get you max around 300rs off on a new battery at battery dealers.. Am not sure if svc will give a discount, and if you buy the battery yourself from a dealer it will cost around 1900rs (add that 300 disc and effectively you pay only 1600). So check battery prices at a local battery shop and you could easily save around 500bucks.

Yes, the battery costs in the same ballpark, though if you exchange your old, you get some 600 odd buck discount, IIRC. I'd suggest you keep a tab on this. I say again, check your stator, RR just in case.

Try pushing the warranty way and keep us posted, in case if there is a requirement of a replacement of battery or stator.
