Try swapping the relay or unplugging and reconnecting them.. the relays are located near the fuse box on the rc iirc (those ones that are brown in color)

And worst case, the starter motor itself might have given up. How old is the bike?Originally posted by vishnu.leo View Post

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
will try that, and yea only bolt charger was connected to the system, but thats been there for ages now. Anyhow disconnected it. Will try playing around with the plug wires, and if nothing works will push it to the asc [emoji28] .Originally posted by s1d View Postit could probably be a relay or ignition coil/spark plug wire issue. try removing and fixing back the spark plug wire (i know its a pain to access it unless you remove fairing, which is another pain). otherwise use the extension rod+spanner from tool kit thru the fairing gap and try to tap the wire around.
there was a similar issue @Ajay Vishwanath faced with his rc200, and i was able to get it started after some poking/tapping the plug wire.
what are the accessories that you have wired in? if you do have any modifications/accessories plugged in, then you might have to dig in further.
p.s. incidentally the bike is completely naked now, fairings were removed for a bit of work a couple of weeks back.

Turning the key on will switch on the console and no errors are shown except for the usual side stand alert, and we can hear the priming of the fuel pump clearly; however rest of the bike is dead except for the high beam flasher. i.e. No indicators , feeble horn, brake lights and ultimately no response from the start button. That was till this morning, after which now there is a small electronic sound like "krr krr" when you thumb the starter, bike still refuses to start.
Checked for low battery warnings -NONE,
Checked for blown fuses -NONE,
Checked for any electric accessories that might be shorting the electronics -NONE.
Have anyone else faced the same issue? seems like i might have to take the bike to the service centre after all. That would mean pushing the bike like 5 kms :P , yea my orange assist validity got over and i forgot to renew that.

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread

Installed techspec snakeskin a few days ago. Didn't get to ride the bike at all after that because of bad weather.
I ordered it from revzilla and a friend who was visiting america brought it here.

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
As pointed out by VJ, get the metal parts replaced. (i.e front brake yoke/master cyl assembly, rear brake lever, and that cracked part). Don't risk riding with vital parts that are cracked/damaged.Originally posted by FTLutkarsh View PostMy friend had a mishap with his RC200, the bike was parked on the side of the road where it was usually parked with other bikes. Some kids were probably playing with the bike and they probably dropped it on the right side. The foot brake lever was bent, that is ok now. But the structure around the center console is cracked on the right side.
These are aluminium parts and hence are 'soft' and deform/break easily on impact. In a way I think it's a good thing since they seem to be absorbing the impact (minor ones such as falls and bumps) and their replacement cost is relatively cheaper.
A couple of weeks ago, i had a minor brush with a car that gently hit my right side foot/foot peg from behind. I was riding at probably 20kmph (so was the car guy).. just a friendly bump and we went our ways. On reaching my destination i noticed that the foot peg had a slight bend! At first I thought the holder was bent (much more expensive) but on closer inspection it was the foot peg that gently deformed itself
. There have been times when i've stood on the footpegs (am a massive 90kg) and they held up.. but a bump from behind and they bent a bit.
On an earlier instance a year or so ago, I dropped the bike gently on the right side and ended up with a bent front and rear brake lever.. the footpeg was intact. I had them both replaced and keep the bent ones as a spare (and this spare helped a fellow biker during a crash on a recent outstation trip)

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
That's sad indeed. Considering your mirror isn't broken, from what I reckon the front master brake cylinder/lever setup too has crack and below it's either the upper plate and some plastics, shouldn't cost more than 3k max considering the damage. Replace the cracked cast items, you don't want to drive with a cracked/broken part.Originally posted by FTLutkarsh View PostHello everyone!

I am attaching the pictures of the damage, kindly tell me what would be the estimated repairs here in Mumbai.
Thanks and ride safe.

Great! Will get those soon.Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View Postyes, the ones I got aren't traction dots, they are the StompGrip universal transparent ones.. amazing and won't peel off that easily..

I too had a similar incident, but KTM does not sell the stalk and mirror separately. If possible, Ask the SVC mechanic if he has just the stalk of any damaged bike or a stalk of the mirror whose glass s broken. I did the same. the mirror otherwise would cost around Rs.1650.Originally posted by KayKashyap View PostGuys Recently my bike fell and left side Mirror holder broke. The Mirror glass and indicator is not damaged but the aluminium casting has broken, should i change the whole set or is it possible only to change that holder ?

Re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Hi everyone,
My front left fork is leaking oil. It's dripping all over the floor. I've just covered 9300kms. Does the fork seal fail so early? I rode in the rain last week. Is it covered under warranty?
