re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Congratulations mate.. The mirrors are absolutely fine.. You gotta just adjust them per your need. Twist them. They won't break. They are just very tight.. Just hold them with both the hands like cup and rotate them the direction you want. This is to ensure they don't break and stay fit.Originally posted by hackernewbie View Post

re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Thanks for your reply, yes I do know that I'll lose the indicators. The reason I'm asking is on track days they'll ask us to get rid of the RVM's (at least in the duke's). I also read in a blog that indicators are placed on RVM's to help out in tracks (don't know what he means by that). So does it pose any problem?Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View PostNope and nope..

re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Body parts that break into shreds are usually not welcome on tracks. It causes danger to other riders/drivers in case of an accident. Moreover, since mirror and turn signals are integrated on the RCs, you as a rider on track, don't have to remove two items. Just remove the mirrors and you get rid of both.Originally posted by manub View PostI also read in a blog that indicators are placed on RVM's to help out in tracks (don't know what he means by that). Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Hmm.. never knew of these before.. I just wish they would have given indicators like the RC8 but instead of thick LEDs, a thin line across.. like a car's indicator on the side RVMs.. that would have looked way cooler..

re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Yes I did tried to remove the RVM's. But there is a problem with that too. As the windscreen is not the only thing which is connected to it there is one more later of plastic body inside, if you try to remove the mirror and crank the engine they vibrate and buzz very hard. So an option for that is to have a piece of good plastic and seize it up with the RVM's Allen keys. Though that is not recommended as I didn't tried it so not too sure if it will remove the buzzing sound 100% second you'll loose both the indicators, which will also cause the rear indicators stop working. Third the bike doesn't looks as good without mirrors.
Ride safe ride long 😎

re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Done 200kms approx (all in the city).
Max speed attained 90kmph.
No issues whatsoever, except for the useless RVMs of-course. Will get it fixed probably today.
Love the massive engine braking. Hitting the rev-limiter too often while in lower gears :|
Holding the handle lightly helps a lot in easing out the pain in the wrists. Still, its painful on the lower-back to ride in the city.
Anybody here has got crash-pads? I am planning to get them fixed. The KTM showroom quoted 3.5k which surprisingly, sounds to be a wonderful price.
Also, planning to get spacers added in the clip-ons, anybody have any suggestions on that?

Surprisingly I hold the bike with my thighs and keep the weight in handle bar as less I can and I feel no pain lol.
Still annoyed with the vibrations that's irritating.
One more question to both of you I am keeping my RPM less than 7.5 but I am ripping it of till that RPM I think that is not a problem.
Mirrors are good for me.
One more thing the engine heat bar is always 8 to 10 bars is that normal ??sigpic

2. I'm having a tough time getting used to holding with thighs and hold the handle light
3.keep your RPM around 5k till first service.
4. In traffic.. yes.. it's perfectly normal..

Crash pads are not for any particular bike/model (except a few very top end ones).Originally posted by BiKeLovER View Post3.5 I think those are the one which you get for duke suspension I asked and they no power parts for RC as of now.

Lucky, I have absolutely no vibrations that can be 'felt'.
You are doing it the right way. Also, take it bit beyond that as well, but just gradually.
Mirrors are bad for me
.
That's perfectly normal.
I am doing the 'holding with thighs' things and it pretty much works very well. Just that, the thighs feel stressed after sometime. So, I actually do a mix of both ;-)
Waiting for the weekend to hit some open roads.
Safe riding!
