You may get the slack etc adjusted for free, but for cleaning/lubing you will have to pay.
Fine, You're right. I must have dreamt my chain clean then.......................
If I am saying its complementary then you tell me what possible reason could I have to lie. I got free chain cleaning AND slack adjustment every time I went to KTM Banjara hills. I don't know why but I did and I still do.

Cool down brother. I never said you lied
I have never seen free chain cleaning, so replied. If you get it done every time, lucky you. *peace out*

Funny the Begumpet folks should charge me.. I'll go to the hitec guys.. Hope they do it for me for free.. I don't mind paying but I just want a good job done..

I got it done today only.. Can I get it done again on monday at hitec? I mean is it okay to get the chain cleaned again at such a short interval?
Getting the chain cleaned and lubed very quickly is ok as long as you don't do it too frequently (that just isn't good use of your time). Getting the chain dirty that quickly is not. LOL

yep, i guess they do not generally charge for the chain clean/lube at the banjara ktm. At least, for me when i asked them how much.. they said 'its ok sir, nothing' - I thought this was because my bike during delivery had an issue, and I had emailed ktm and some hungama happened..and when they dint charge me for the chain clean/lube later on, i thought it was just the courtesy/customer friendliness at work. But from what balgi pointed out, maybe its after all really done free.
I even got a water wash free earlier (when it had rained a few weeks ago in hyderabad and i had to get all that muck removed)along with the chain job.
i had it done twice before my first service today.
today was the first free service, and i was charged 100rs as consumables, but there was no separate charge for chain lube. Only had to pay for 2 litres of motul 7100 and the oil filter + 100 consumables.. totaling 1851 (including tax, which was a hefty 200rs approx i think.)

Not needed. but just remember one thing, once the chain is cleaned ensure it is wiped down with a rag (just to remove the dripping and ensuring the lube sticks on to the chain properly). Only then let them lube it. after a couple of weeks try the banjara ktm (near juiblee hills checkpost) and do let us know if you are charged or not.

Even I feel hourly break is crucial to stretch a bit as well as replenish the concentration levels.

I rode about 120 kms to a point and then rode back the same route. Total trip time was about 5 hours and console recorded 4 hours of ride time. I took 3 breaks in total of which two were for snacking 10 mins each and one was for clicking a few pics. Nearly 90% of this was well laid out highways and there were potholes, speed bumps when crossing through villages. The longest continuous stretch I did was about 100 kms.

I think riding at around 80 kmph helps is easing the pressure as the wind blast sort of provides some support. But the idea is to never use arms for support. They are only to steer. Back should support its weight. Gripping the tank helps tremendously and so does keeping the back straight.

Oh and did I tell you that at 5' 4", I nearly feel like I am lying flat on the tank!!

These are just some first hand observations from a newbie and others may feel free to add their inputs to make the riding experience pleasant!!
"Oh and did I tell you that at 5' 4", I nearly feel like I am lying flat on the tank!!" Hi Sameer the perfect thing I have been looking in this whole thread. I am 5'5" myself and how are you managing on the 820 mm seat height ? I mean do you find it difficult during heavy traffic commuting and sudden brake scenarios ? I just sat on the bike in the showroom and I was just touching the ground with both feet. Would love your input before I make a purchase decision...

I am wondering if the braking has been improved on the newer dukes and rc's. I've read a few ppl complaining of poor brakes (especially the rear on d200's).. but to date, mine has been crisp and sharp including the rear. . The mini stoppies.. i know what you mean , its happened to me a few times inside my apartment complex while dodging kids and speed breakers at very low speeds.
