Also extra weights like laptop backpacks is another trouble...
Get a tank bag which might fit a laptop in it..

Between, how's your bike treating you?
Noticed anything new?

Well.. She's treating me fine.. I did some good search on "how to sit on a sportsbike" (DAMN!! Can't believe I'm doing that!!!)

The only points that I could get:

- Hands loose, almost parallel to the ground.

- Body weight - Nobody talks about it!!!
- Posture - Nobody again!!!

There's practically NOTHING anywhere!!!!

Nope.. but yes.. almost about 8 liters.. gives about 35 kmpl.. not bad.. I drive till 5000 RPM for now.. First service not done yet..

+1. Back exercises a must. If you are slightly fat with a small belly (like me), your back is going to break.. for this bike only, I'm going to gym and getting some kilos reduced..!!!

I actually tried that, not able to lie on the tank either.. stupid helmet coming in my way and happily blocking the vision.. I actually carry a lot of food with me.. so yeah.. about the weight of a laptop bag.. except my bag will look a lot bigger..

And to make it worse bike delivery getting delayed to Jan first week(even after booking in last week of september) my head is screaming to go ahead and get a duke 200 but the heart still says waitttttt don't do it.

confused !!!

I waited for the RC.. I'm not regretting it.. Just something you gotta get used to.. Actually like I said before, my Black Beauty is inspiring me to join a gym and get my belly in so that my back and support.. taking it as a motivation factor.. depends on how you see it..

FYI.. Just follow your heart.. don't want to regret it later.. do you?? After you've been all through this..

Well...i can't say RC ain't comfortable...but need good roads(40% roads are not ok here) and lesser traffic...
I ride my bike with arms bend downwards, which automatically adjusts rest of my body(yeah, that's how i do it :P). So i don't get any strain on my wrists, arms or shoulders.
I do try sitting farther to the back of the seat, but constant breaking and downshifts in traffic just keeps me pulling to the front.
And for heavy backpacks, I found a way to reduce the stress. Just loosen the shoulder strap so that the bag touches your seat. Now the seat supporting almost 75% of the weight kinda gives you a lil bit of relief.

We still don't have any accessories for RC. RC's were scheduled for deliveries by the end of December, remember? So I don't have any hopes for accessories till next year.

How's your battery cover holding? Mine got some issues at the beginning like loose clamps so it just opens itself every time the roads get bad. When enquired about it, they said every RC got the same problem and Ktm will provide with new better locks by the next service.

That's precisely what I do (be it any bike) if i carry a backpack while riding a motorcycle. And it does take a LOT of strain off your back. But since i haven't ridden the rc with a backpack, i did not know that this method would be suitable considering the aggressive riding position.
And well, about the roads.. nothing much we can do about it. Most of the people are going be driving most of the time on bad roads and in congested traffic. But exercise will definitely help in the long run. At the bare minimum one should be doing back extension/stretching exercises.
BiKeLovER - if you want to pick up the RC, i strongly suggest you take a few test rides first. performance wise, not much of a diff between the rc's and the dukes.. but again you do not want to be stuck with an uncomfortable ride. Remember, the rc200 costs 1.8 while a d390 costs 2.1 .. maybe just spend a little more and you get a MUCH better package. If not the d200 is just fine as well. take time to have a few test rides and make you choice after that.

Go to ktm banjara. Chain cleaning is complementary there.

I got it done today only.. Can I get it done again on monday at hitec? I mean is it okay to get the chain cleaned again at such a short interval?
