Why you need to top up coolant ?? is the level down.
Ah! That MID is just for fun! :P

    Calculate reserve to reserve!

Need to top up because, a long ride to your state coming up. Probably will have to get the first service done before I touch 1000 as well.

Nope there was condition of no long drives on bike before it was booked.

And surely I miss my Civic need to also look after her .

She has been already completely ignored for last few weeks.

So then, does that mean the rev-limit that has been set upto the 1st service doesn't matter when you are in 6th?

If so, for me ... I noticed, its not as quick in reaching 3 figures as it is while reaching 85-90kmph.
            Is that how it is?

            ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Mileage is anyway beyond what I had expected, so from here on, whatever increase happens...its a win-win!

Yeah, see unless you can get the bike upto 80kmph in 4th gear don't even attempt to get a three figure speed in 6th. You'll put unnecessary stress on the 6th gear (might even cause damage). Until run in is over you speed should be 60-65kmph in 4th, 65-80kmph in fifth, and 80-90kmph in 6th, that too if you're pushing the bike over 6.5k rpm. You want three figures you should attain at least 90kmph in 5th gear so you don't stress out the motor. And once in 6th gear you may push the bike upto 120kmph without damaging or seizing the engine but not more.
Also please don't go over 6.5k in run in unless you're doing it in short non-frequent bursts or you'll end up with knocking sound post run in (speaking from experience).

Yes, I am only at times, doing it and in short and occasional bursts. I hardly go to 5th, and except for a couple of times may be, never pop 5th before 65-70.

                Thanks for all the info

Ok an update I was riding at approx 78Km/ph in sixth gear and wanted to down shift and too my horror the gear pedal just slipped off [emoji15][emoji15][emoji15]

Used the clutch to maintain the speed and some how parked it on side. I am so scared of this bike now. This is so pathetic KTM you cannot QC an important gear pedal shift.

Do anybody have KTM India mail I want to take it further. Guys please do check the gear pedal they look dicey..

Note : not even 500KM on the ODO.

The overall experience is scary after this. Request you to good inspection when you take the bike.

I did do that looking at some 390's having same issue, but this occurred after 450 ODD Km's.

Did any of you faced any similar issues ???

This issue has occurred in D390s but only when they were fallen even in standstill. Raipur ktm service guy told this issue is common in dukes.

Ya i can understand, by looking it i think its the manufacturing defect you should shoot a mail to ktm and also take this issue to your dealer.

But what is the assurance you can give me it won't happen again. :P
