Completed 7300 kms today.. Beautiful and smooth like its the first day out of factory..

My only "issue" is that the side stand needs frequent tightening and resetting.. Over a period of use, the stand becomes loose and starts to dance around.. Understandable KTM that all the 140+ KGS fall on one single metal stick.. But can't you make that single stick stronger..?? The hero Hondas and others have side stand too and never faced any such issues with them...

But for the price I paid, I wish there was the p200's automatic turn indicator switch off was inbuilt and bar end weights also.. Those two are missing.. But nothing major as long as you don't drop her on the ground.. But vibrations are something that's making my palms go numb even with wearing gloves..

i have completed around 3500 kms and the vibrations are getting worse with every km. Even i think the need for bar end weights is dire!
Other than that I am not suffering from any other issues.

Okay first things first, the bar end weight DIY didn't go well; mainly cause i was held up by other matters that required my attention had to take the RTR for her service and all.

Anyways got something done in the meantime which i had been planning from
the day i got the bike, tinting the windshield. Atleast something to keep me satisfied before the bubble visor reaches the shore.

Glad you too liked it dear friend. Wishing you all the best for your new RC. You will sure love your RC200. I have not faced any issue so far. Only issue is the belly pan scrapes when you corner really hard and the stock MRFs are good for a regular user however are not upto the mark when you start pushing this bike and when you are riding RC on good roads, you will push it hard, very hard and at that time the stock MRFs start to give up.
Upgrade your tyres as soon as possible. Otherwise I found this bike to be flawless.

Plz tell the price of duke rc390 or rc 200 projector and his kit. Can it be fitted in other bikes or is it like pulsar 220 which cannot be fitted in other bikes.

Guys, I just checked the manual for my 2nd service date. It says 6000 or 5 months from the date of purchase. Purchase date mentioned to the manual is 31/12/2014, but I took the delivery on 09/01/2015. It's not a big difference, however I think I am close to the service date (i.e 31st May as per manual). I have just completed half of the KMs I need to (3000+ kms).

I need help on the following:
                    • Do I need a engine oil change?
                    • My chain is properly lubed every 500 kms or early by myself, can I tell SVC not to do it (I don't like their lube, it drips everywhere)?
                    • Though Marathahalli Service center is not that great, I'm planning to get the 2nd service too done there since they are close to my place. This time I'm planning to insist to stay there during service. Anyone ever stayed with their bike during service specially in this service center?

Any other tips or tricks you guys would like to suggest or recommend for this service is much appreciated!

BTW, how many of you from Bangalore are going to the Orange Day tomorrow at Kanakpura. I got a call, but I am going out of station this weekend. I badly missed it

well, what I did was the following :

                        - Engine Oil Change
                        - Oil Filter Change (compulsory with engine oil change)
                        - Coolant Top up (he did it and I didn't even notice)
                        - fuel filter change
                        - air filter change
                        - spark plug change

even tho they told me that fuel, air filter and spark plug change is not needed, I went ahead with them..

bike's smooth.. and behind the second service slip, you will have all the list of things to do by them in second service.. so you can go and trust that..

I am also planning to start maintaining chain by myself at home.. it will be great if you can post some DIY tut here.. I know there are many out there, but RC specific, that would be great..

yes, with a car jack & a industrial bolt.. but that will actually weaken your single-side stand.. the reason is that more pressure will fall on it and it might break early.. so, I wouldn't recommend that..

and yesterday, suddenly my radiator's overflow-outlet pipe is broken!!! went to svc, No parts, the reason? these are "rare" cases, hence, they do not keep parts.. we have to order them and wait for a couple of weeks for the parts to come and then they will fix it.. I'm really pissed off at them.. can't they have one or two of the "rare" parts available? just coz it doesn't move too much, doesn't mean it's not required.. and the cost will be around 300-400 it seems..

Spoke to the manager to replace it under warranty, he said that I'm not alone and that he is talking with the manufacturing dept and he is trying to get the parts and that there's another guy like me too.. the funny part is, their quality sucks big time..

one time I was riding at night 10 o' clock, had to apply sudden brake, as a habit, pulled the clutch, and snap, clutch cable broken!!! got it replaced under warranty, and now this.. how beautiful!!!!

I just lift the bike by 1 inch or so. also side stands are built to pretty high tolerances so it breaking this easily is out of question.

I get it that not riding your bike for such a long time is really hard to deal with. But this is something new. Radiators break only in case of accidents and in a faired bike even accidents cant break it sometimes. So the dealer might have mever expected this type of breakage and therefore have never kept the part.

But even i do think that a dealer should always have atleast 1 set of every part so in case of situations like these the customer doesnt have to wait.
