Since NGK irridium spark plug isn't available on Amazon for a kong time, there is another one available from Nikavi.
Has anybody used it? Should I go for it?
Also, my RS200 is currently 16k on odo.
Last service was done before Covid19 pandemic & air filter, engine oil, fuel filter etc were changed.
I'm thinking about to drop the bike for servicing.
What will be the things to check? Any suggestions?
Do not use any Nikavi or Darshini named spark plugs. These are nothing but basically reconditioned/or Karol Bagh items for the most part. If you're not able to get the plugs you desire, sticking to stock is the best way to go. Spark plugs have heat ratings and they affect the way the spark plug itself is cooled. Beware of such cheap knock-offs.

It's nothing serious, the spring mechanism which moves forward to start the bike gets stuck if it's kept idle or is not serviced for long. Take it to a good electrical mechanic shop and have it serviced.
This is my first post in this thread.
Recently bought a used RS200 from a known source.. After riding it for the full day, brought it home. Since, the vehicle was very dusty;thought of giving it a wash & hence pressure washed it thoroughly.
Later, i have encountered a strange problem wherein the self-starter motor is not shutting off once the vehicle is started. It is so strange that engine kill or shutting off the ignition totally is also unable to stop the motor. Finally had to remove the connecting cable of selfstarter to shut it. As a precaution, i have disconnected the battery.
What could be the possible problem. Have thought it could a issue of electrical grounding, Need to check by removing the sidepanels.
Any suggestions in solving this issue will be of much help.

Guys I own a BS4 RS200 which clocked 35000KMs on odo. Recently I'm facing strange issues.
My bike stalling when I throttle down to below 3K rpm. To make the motor awake I have rip the accelerator above the 3K rpm. A slightest relese below that the motor will stop.
As the bike is due for service , changed the engine oil, oil filter,fuel filter ,Airfilter . Sparks plugs are not replaced as they are not available right now.
My nearest Bajaj service centers are all not having spares and technician to service the RS200. So I'm relying on my nearest mechanic.
He is telling me that it might be Jl40300 relay or clutch switch or fuel pump etc. But the bike sipping the fuel just fine.
Please somebody help me and put me out of misery [emoji24]

If the check engine light is ON you should go to any Bajaj SVC immediately and tell them to attach the Bosch OBD tool to diagnose the issue.
More often than not, this is a fault with the fuel system, it will be a bit difficult to diagnose over the internet. PM me your phone number I will add you to our Whatsapp group where its easier to share advice and solutions.

Thanks for your concern bro. I took my bike to a superbike specialist. Autodealz.in, erragadda, Hyderabad.
The issue turned out to be a throttle body stepper motor malfunctioning. Got it replaced with new one and now my bike roaring back to normal.
In Hyderabad many SVCs doesn't have a mechanic who works on RS/NS/Domi etc.

Hey thats good. I was actually going to say stepper motor because mine was changed 3 times!

That motor is made by a very reputable company. Unfortunately I think Bajaj cheaped out and told them to make it at a lower quality so now it fails regularly. Or it's something else since I think the Duke and RC have the same motor and I haven't seen many complaints with regards to it failing from there.
My bike turned out to be a lemon (made worse by the fact that it's a first year bike – the OG if you will) so I faced pretty much every issue there is on it. Right now it's parked indefinitely inside my village home as I am abroad and have no immediate plans of returning. Hoping it works after I get back!

My suggestion will be to give your bike to local garage and ask them to do standard service. They will let you know what all components are ok and what all to be replaced (and why). Don't tell them the duration you kept the bike idle for so long.
1. Change battery for sure.
2. Your petrol in tank may also gone bad. Drain and refill new petrol.
3. Hope tyres are fine being tubeless
My suggestion will be to give your bike to local garage and ask them to do standard service.
I don't know how and where the bike was parked for 18months in what condition,
But for a vehicle which has been parked for so long, there are chances of pests and insects doing damages.
Check thoroughly for any rat bites get the wiring checked, for any broken or chewed wires or fuel pipes or coolant pipes.

Just to add to what Bhpians have added.
1. First and foremost and very important, start off by draining and replacing your the engine oil and make sure your fuel is drained completely irrespective of how it appears or smells. Use fresh fuel of a couple of liters so that the bike can crank, do not fill the tank with the fresh fuel completely.
2. Inspect your air filter and air inlet pipes, for any wasp nest, cobweb and just plain crap lodged from rodents, very important again.
3. Make sure your battery is good, if not make sure you get your battery replaced and recharged depending on the condition.
4. Adequate tire pressure should be foremost.
5. These steps are safe to be followed for a bike that's been stoved for a while, and I'd insist you do the same. If you're not able to carry out these on your own, bring in a trusted mechanic and make sure you follow his advice or share the above steps so that it is easy.
Having a fresh and new battery, will help in starting and general maintenance easy on the bike, so get a new battery if your current battery is dead.
