I have used Valvoline 4T premium for long time. It's a good one and comparble with Motul non synthetic.

Any solution for the vibrations of the front fairing? I was using bajaj mineral oil till date, should I upgrade to Motul 7100 20w50??

I got mine in Feb 2019. There's no vibration particular to front fairing but yes there's already a double tape kinda thing fixed on one side, noticed it on point of delivery

Hi brothers, I'm new in this forum and I would like to ask if any of you have encountered the same problem I am having right now.

Check engine light is blinking 1long and 1short. before the check engine light comes out. I was having an erratic idle going up and down the range of 1.5k-2k rpm.
some told me to have my injector cleaned. so i did. but the same problem remains but I felt something wrong while on my way home. when releasing the throttle it somehow stays a little long on the 3k rpm before going down to 1.8k rpm. I have been able to use the bike for a week more then this happened. My rs200 was parked and I was about to go home. so I turn the key on and start the engine... there's this popping sound from the muffler and the engine died. When I tried to start it up again it would go wild and it revs high up to the limit. after a few minutes I tried it again. This time the engine would run but felt like it would die if I wouldnt hold the throttle to a certain point. After arriving home I shut the engine off and start it again. That is when the Check engine light comes out.

I called up a mechanic and have it checked. He found out that the manifold was not installed properly. so he fixed the manifold and locked it in place. after that he tried to start the engine and it did start with the CEL still there and the erratic idle. He checked the air filter and it was full of black greasy particles. We have no air filter at that time so he said to try it without any air filter installed. The problem is theres another check engine light came out. this time its a new sequence 4long and 9short.

Is the only problem is the air filter? if I'll be able to install a new air filter would the check engine lights be resolved? I really need help badly.

I'm not sure about the others but I got an RS 200 in 2019. Is it a better choice in 2019? To me, yes.
I wanted an upgrade/equivalent for my NS200 I sold in 2015, would've bought it again if it had FI, it didn't. RS was not my first choice though.
Here's what i found on the competition:
1: booked a Jawa, test drive didn't impress, bike looks didn't suit me.
2. Checked UM motors, too many complaints about engine.
3. Tested R15 V3, uncomfortable for longer rides.
4. FZ 25, test drive didn't impress, exhaust had known rusting issues, headlights reported inadequate, they took off the white paint option when they upgraded with ABS.
5. CBR 250 R, no test drive available at showroom, not even a bike to look at, cost well over 2 lakh for a model launched in 2011 (engine n all).
6. Dominar: uncertainty over new model in Feb, On road price above 2 lakh.
7. Apache felt cramped.

Hence I trusted a Pulsar I'd owned before with added FI, twin projector headlamps, ABS, full fairing, all LED design.

Ownership cost?
I refuel to full tank between RS 650-700 while there's still two bars pending on fuel meter and the trip meter shows between 280-410 kms.
Mileage between 28-42kmpl based on riding style
Got a foam seat for 450.
Service cost 1290-Got Motul
Paddock stand 2800 one time investment
Riding helmet and jacket 7000
Half tank lamination 100
Chain maintenance consumables- 340 something

So the riding cost isn't that much, it's the bigger purchases that pulled the cost. The bike still turns heads with appreciating eyes, half the public doesn't even know which bike this is let alone being an old model launched in 2015. The cruising is comfortable whether at 80 or 125, speed hits 130 before coming to redline on tachometer at 9.7 k rpm, it does go beyond that easily. Perimeter frame handles very well, recently had a rear tyre slip on a petrol pump with those grey n red bricks but was back in control within a split second without any hula dance lol. So has it been worth the money? I'd say yes. Look, performance, comfort, mileage all spots check in just fine.

The post was long but this is what the journey has been for me. However if you're planning to purchase yours too, give it a while, there's an announcement by Bajaj MD about something new coming to the Pulsar line up in June.

Agreed with all your writings, I too owned a NS200 2012 model for almost 3 years. Sold it and purchased a 2017 Graphite Black RS200, it looks dope. But I am noticing that on my NS it was easy to reach 100kmph but the RS takes a considerable greater time to do so. What could be the issue?
