    Tyres replaced @ 61500

Made my shift to tubeless tyres last week with both front and rear tyres replaced to Michelin. Couldn't get sirac street tubeless for the front. Rear section is 110/90 and fits okay even with the chain cover on.

Performance : Tyres are grippier than the stock ones and the ride height has increased predictably. I haven't had the chance to push it to limits or check its wet grip, there is only one place in my entire route to office that even comes close to a corner.I think for me, going for a 110/90 section is a slight overkill.

Top speed should have reduced now, because i found it less eager to climb past 106.

The old Zappers still have some tread in them - one or two cracks occurred due to punctures.

It did cost approximately 66k on road back then in 2009. Including cash back offer of rupees 3000.

I am sharing my experience with my GS 150R, it is completed 81K KM in Odo, running from January 2013. Here service center guys said they need to open engine for some work.
    Mileage is still between 50-55,

Full Chain set replaced and Rear Suspension replaced at 45K Km
Air filter replaced at 60K Km
Rear Tyre is replaced at 72K km

Now engine needs to open and chain set need to replace at 81K Km.

I will try my best to update this forum about my GS150R time to time.

    Happy driving...stay safe.

Are y'all been given and warranty or is this some stunt that Suzuki is pulling ?
At 81000 KM same thing happend with my GS its given at service center, I dont know what will be cost but they given estimate around Rs 15000. Yes last two year road condition in my became pathetic, I think only because of this reason my engine damaged. I hope they will repair the engine very well so my GS can kiss the road again for 81000 KM.
Friend how is your bike is performing after repairing engine?

My GS did 146KMPH yesterday. Of course on Main Stand. I never imagined a 150cc can do such speeds.

I remember it to be 72000 without interest on EMIs.

    How's fuel efficiency?

I am using currently discover 125 cc and its great bike but after 60-65 km it vibrate a lot.

I am not fast driver, will use it below 75-70 always..

    Need input guys
Purchase it if the papers are clear.

Suzuki or no other manufacturer is going to produce such a touring friendly sofa on 2 wheels. You just have to live with its low pickup in city limits.

I used to ride 120 Kms on daily basis and it easily returns 55+ KMPL if ridden between 50-80 KMPH. Good Luck.

My GS was hibernating since insurance expired in August.

My daily ride has increased from 60 KM to 120 KM because of office location change( again ).
So I am planning to start riding GS again.

To start with I have did the below tasks.

    1) Replace front Fork Oil (Castrol 20W. SparKot's DIY on fork conditioning was very helpful when i lost track of what I was doing. Thank you Sir)
    2) Replaced Rear Shock absorbers with OEM Gabriel units (3500 RS a pair (MRP of 1815 a piece). I should have purchased it last year when it was 2800 a pair)
    3) Charged Battery
    4) New Michenlin Front Tire

GS will be back to cruising mode when I renew my Insurance

It is a sofa on 2 wheels. If the running-in/breaking-in was done well, not abused and driven gently (mild acceleration and 60-70 kmph in 6th gear) mileage would easily be 55-60 kmpl for GS. There will be a very mild vibration in 3500-4000 rpm called resonance - not intrusive. Engine is capable of running lacs of kms on the stock bore itself. Suzuki's spares might not be as easy to procure as your Bajaj but are long-lasting.

Thanks r0rshack for your feedback. I don't have the numbers to support the video, but as you agree as well, these small adjustments go along in saving some fuel and thus improving the overall efficiency.

    Have a nice day!

Any GS owners having Tubeless tyre setup could you please share your experience? have you used it long term ( >20K kms) without any issues?

After many searches on the forum and other sites, i'm confused if i should go for tubeless at all? This is what i have found

    * Using TT without tube as tubeless -> STRICT NO!
    * Using TL with a tube on TL rim -> NO, but usable.
    * Using TL on TT rim -> Maybe usable if fit properly, but don't use, stick with stock setup.

In 58K kms, only now i have faced puncture in the rear wheel (twice), but that thought of getting stranded on the highway with a flat, without anyone nearby hits me every day i ride.

So, is a tubeless on our GS safe to use? what initial checks should i do in case i decide to fit in TL tyres to avoid leakage?

On a related note, only after replacing the stock shocks, i'm noticing wear on the rear tyres - the exposed black rubber seems new and looking at the TWI, the tyre seems good for atleast 10K kms, but i have 2 cracks from the punctures on the tyre, so will replace them after this rainy season.

Grip has definitely improved, maybe the Zapper C isn't so bad after all?
