Hello All,
In Hyderabad we are able to get all spare parts for Suzuki GS150R at Balaji Auto Parts at Koti.
Location shared below
After wasting so much time and money with Authorized service centers , finally got here for my Gs150R Clutch problem.
In front of this shop mechanics are available. My bike is repaired by a guy named Salman Khan and surprised to see my GS is back to its best form.
Even bike modification shop is near by, i.e., Santhosh Modz, link share below.
My GS150R is 2011 year make and still looks great.
Just want to change its head light and front suspension though.
If I did any modification will update the pics and update the status.

So,
Finally decided to keep it , after weighing the pros and cons, Conducted my RE FITNESS test on Aug13 , and passed.. costed me around 15000/ including RTO Fees, painting, new battery , spare cables and labour charges.. The only major problem was with the carburettor which i had never touched all these years, it was cleaned 2 times as the painting job took 2 weeks and the bike was lying idle, i should have checked in between but was unaware of this issue( Ethanol will screw your old bike if lying idle for days, no problem if you ride daily).. even my battery had to be replaced.. but now its smooth and almost as good as new,, the front Tyre and chain sprockets are in their last legs, so hoping to change them as soon as finance permits. I am posting the before and after pictures. I had to install the original headlamp assembly as RTO wont allow modification.Last edited by RAIS@vypin; 08-20-2025, 02:26 PM.

Hi,
My ride is nearing its end of life. come 2025 and it will have completed 15 years of its existence. I certainly don't need another bike , All this time I was thinking I was the only with this model and distance , in my area, when by chance I met some one on the vypin Ro-Ro with this same model and year of production, He was a field technician and had a exceptionally high odo , in fact it put my bike to shame when i heard he is still on his original piston/ cylinder .. his distance covered was 2.63lakh km. he had replaced his rear shocks quite a few times as he used to carry his heavy tools/spares on the back... so coming to the point i feel my clutch is nearing its end of life as my clutch lever felt quite loose , i tried some settings on the clutch cable but thought there was nothing else to do and so ordered the clutch discs and hub /springs from a nearby shop that buys them from Suzuki authorised spare dealers in coimbatore. In the meantime felt some rather large amount of play in my clutch lever , the bolt holding the lever was a bit loose so bought that too.
the new bolt and nut look different from the original one but on replacing the play was reduced to a large extent and so i decided to postpone the clutch replacement ,will try to extend to the maximum and replace, since i already have the spare clutch no need to fear lack of spares.
By the way it costed only rs13 , 10 for bolt and 3 for nut.Last edited by RAIS@vypin; 03-09-2024, 02:22 PM.

so after a long time , gave my gs to a FNG for replacing the gear lever, bought the necessary spares and was surprised to see the cost of some items,, the rear drum brake shoe is now almost 500rs, earlier after market one costed just rs200/.. the gear lever had a large play to it due to wear and tear,{mine is a 2010 model} , i could have given it to lathe and welded ,and rectified it , but i thought if it cost just around 400/ then why not replace the entire assembly . Another important point , you can see the date of manufacture of the parts on the label , the latest one being sept 2023.. I just cant believe Suzuki is making spares for this discontinued model and we have guys with newer models complaining of nonavailability of spares.

did some major replacements after a long time. replaced the spark plug with an aftermarket BOSCH, and it works fine, my regular idemitsu semisynth was out of stock so got a motul fully synth for 100 rs more, doesnt feel much difference though, will wait and see. replace my rear Tyre with a newer brand,,REISE tour r.. cost rs2400/ .. the earlier michelin lasted 2 years 8 months and 52000 kms. This time got an oem air filter. the aftermarket lasted for around 27000 kms..Last edited by RAIS@vypin; 09-20-2023, 08:41 AM.

Found a gs r about to be scrapped nearby so got the headlight and digiconsole{ console was already dead i needed only the glass}. As yo u can see from the photos the difference between mine and the other headlight is like night and day. I had earlier tried to use a 60 wattt bulb that caused my reflector to darken. when i visited the next day to check for some other spares it was already gone, felt stupid should have bought the rear indicator and cdi unit also, god knows how long would suzuki provide spares for this bike.

I also changed the LHS switch assembly and complete lock set sometime back. But luckily I got it from nearest ASC and was direct fit
Also met with an accident recently, gear lever bent had to pull out with hand and LHS footrest was bent, replaced with the pulsar one and was direct fit.
