I am getting around 52 to 57 KMpl with rear michelin 100/90 . I measure from reserve to reserve , may not be exact but ,still has given me consistent results.Originally posted by r0rshack View Post

Also on a side note, recently changed my rear tyre back to 100/90 Apollo actigrip r4. This came after facing frequent loss of air from the Michelin sirac street which had run around 20k kms. The tread was good and excellent grip on the Michelin, but the loss in mileage has been immense and was getting around 30kmpl!.
Changed the tyre and the mileage is back to 40+.

Murtaza, Apache RTR shocks are a direct fit for GS150r. Been using it for around 30k kms.

Hi guys
Installed new rear suspension on my gs. This one is for Honda shine and Endurance make. Had to settle for this as originals were no where tobe found. This one is just for 1300/- pair, I think half of what original costs. Although these are just normal hydrolic shock absorber and not the gas charged but gets the job done.

The 9 AH battery is of bigger physical size, it may not fit in the battery compartment, happened to me, I had a7AH battery and I asked the batterywala to upgrade to 9AH one, but he showed me that it wouldnt fit in the compartment, so bought a 7AH Amaron, My model is AUGUST 2010 so might be the same with you

hey guys, I'm about to revive a late 2010 GS150r. It was sitting for about 2 years and I would like to know whether it came with 7ah or 9ah battery as stock. Any help would be appreciated

Hello Guys, I have a 2011 Model and can say it's really an hell of a superb bike. I have got some major works done and have kept few spare parts with myself.
The smoothness is the one which is rare in now a days bike even in a Fi model.
Here are the major works:
-Carburetor Cleaning and re-tuning to default 2.5 cycle (as that was originally from ASC) .
-Whole Body Paint Job Including the Rims(Black and Rims to Matt Black).
-Throttle,Choke & Clutch Cable Change.
-Mirror Change to Last Suzuki GS150R version
-Semi-DC Conversion
-Shock Absorber Change
-Handle Change (as had an accident couple years ago so it was bent a bit).
-Side Stand Change.
-Inside Cleaning with WD-40 where rust was found and chassis was repainted as well.
-Valve Clearance and Tappet Adjustment.
-Disc Pad,Disc Unit and Disc Caliper Change.
-Rear Brake Shoe Change and adjustment.
-New Tensioner.
-New Gear and Brake Lever.
-New Engine Oil(Motul 10w40 fully synthetic), MOs2 2%, also did an engine flush and lots more....
All of these were done outside. I have arranged the spares from ASC.
I will be adding the pics soon guys... I am going to keep this bike for lifetime as vintage collection.
ONE WORD... THE ENGINE IS STILL BUTTER SMOOTH <3 ..

Hi all,
once again, I am writing this after completion of my bikes repair, this time had a long list , I couldnt post all of them as it happened due to lack of time and other commitments, someone with an older model like mine would benefit from this. 1- problem- after a recent oil change started noticing oil leaks, I had replaced the drain bolt a year ago so this is really poor quality from suzuki, the original lasted maybe around 10 years or so, I didnt replace the item ,went to a lathe and had a sleeve threaded inside. unfortunately dont have any fotos but it worked. 2- while replacing oi filter broke the bolt , the longest one at the top with a part remaining inside, got a new one from ASC and replaced while opening the clutch cover. fotos attached 3- my front fork started leaking oil. got the seals from ASC ,but mechanic advised to change the inner tube as it has some minor bumps/ raised spots inside that may cause leaks in the future. so bought an inner tube also. Guys with older model take note that the tube is a bit smaller than newer models, if you cany find one then you will have to change tubes on both sides.Also the new outer dust seal, which i bought, was a bit loose , same part number but somehow it wouldnt fit tight, luckily found an old stock lying with the ASC, so please take note of this point also. fotos attached 4-,,the fork boot was in tattered condition ASC didnt have this so got one from open market of pulsar150. 5--.My rear shocks have got old and so decide to replace them , ASC didnt have stock, so replaced with those of TVS phoenix, suzuki costs 4300/ while tvs is 2404/. nearly half thge price. fotos attached. 6-- My engine was producing clattering sounds while idling, I didnt think much of it, but mechanic said it was due to tensioner, and so i bought a new one from ASC, now this item gave me and my mechanic the greatest headache but as you can see from the fotos it is physically quite different in size and looks, while trying to insert it wouldnt fit which made us think that there ought to be an older version ,but despite numerous calls to ASC and mail to suzuki, they said there is only one type available. Luckily I had my older engine block lying around , so i tested the tensioner on that and found that it fits perfectly, so with this idea went to my mechanic who then found that there was a slight blockage in the present engine,due to some sealant or something ,he grinded it away with a file and the new tensioner fit in perfectly. fotos attched.7-- there was oil leak on the clutch arm and repaired that also, got the item after sending a mail to suzuki, those seals cost less than rs 15 but the gasket cover was costly. My chain sprockets have reached their end of life around 32000kms , more than my earlier suzuki DID chain. will replace during next service. till then goodbye.

Hi everyone,
Its been a long time since I posted, my monitor died some months ago, together with the covid lockdown, I couldnt access the net. finally got a new monitor as the lockdown was lifted. But even before that I had repaired my swingarm,I waited 2 months to see whether it worked fine and I can say it turned out perfectly fine.There is no horizontal play on the swingarm now. so attaching some images for fellow GS pians to refer. mechanic labour was less than 500.Kindly see my older post regarding the spares I got, This time I am attaching the images of the replaced items so you can see the damage incurred to the parts. Remeber mine is a 2010 model.

Hi guys. I have recently brought a 2014 GS150R for Rs.28.5k with 41k kms on the odometer. So far I have changed oil to Shell AX7 and changed oil filter. While the drain bolt was being tightened after oil drain, the mechanic said the bolt has slipped (thread damaged). So he sent me to a engine reboring shop which charged me Rs.180 for this job. They took out the cap oil strainer and just rethreaded it. Later I realised after coming home from RAIS@vypin's post on xbhp that this part costed only Rs. 90. Chain was adjusted accordingly since it was hitting the chain cover. Chain cover is in a bad condition now due to this. Air filter was cleaned with a blower. Took insurance from godigit and got it transferred to Nagpur ( The place I work). Now the tyres were in bad shape. The tyres were still stock and 6 years old. So I changed them today to Metro Conti Rib for the front and Apollo actizip R3 for the rear. Kept it Tubed still. Costed me 2830 including fitment charges. My daily commute is in the city and approximately 12km. While coming back I went to the suzuki service centred and procured some essentials for the next service. I took cap oil strainer, drain bolt, oil filter, drain bolt washer and the air filter, but couldn't find the O ring for cap oil strainer. As told by ashwanth in one of his posts I went to TVS showroom and took the o ring of apache. But I was curious and I asked for the cap oil strainer of apache. The part looked a bit different from bottom side. But similar on the top side. Will post pictures below for the same. I put one upon another and guess what, the Holes match. The GS part has a bit of depth to it and slightly shaped different on one side. But AFAIK, it should fit. Will next check this in next oil change (after 2 months) and confirm. I also brought this part with the O ring. I f anyone is willing to try, it would be of great help, as this part of GS is very rare to get. Remember to take the drain bolt of apache along with the cap oil strainer as the sizes are different.

I m in vypin , Ernakulam. I gave my bike to a local workshop in Kerala after it was sitting idle for some time as I had met with an accident. The guy said the carburettor was done and he just replaced it with some other one. Now the petrol is leaking. The ASC simply don't entertain any GS 150R related queries. I need some advice on what to do or suggest some good mechanic in Ernakulam.

Not Seeing anybody post for the past month.
As posted earlier , my swingarm service is due, but due to hectic work schedule unable to complete it, in between my rear tyre got punctured while at work, was my 6th or 7th puncture on this tyre, tyrewalla said its a pinhole bulge with 2 other previous punctures nearby,cant be repaired, so decided to buy a new set,
This time went for michelin as my front one is also michelin, costed around 2,200/rs. 500 more than the JK challenger, which completed 2years 3 months and 31,855 km to be exact,( I maintain a record of my repairs in a journal).
After a week or so replaced my oil & both filters, I had stretched the interval this time to see if there would be any issue, apart from the dark colouring I didnt find any serious issue, The previous oil change was done after 3900 km . This time after 6000 kms. The viscosity of both used oils was about the same,( I collect the old oil in the same bottle and use it for lubing my cycle ,not my gs, ) A middle range of 5000kms would be fine I suppose.The oil filter used was genuine suzuki, a bit heavy from the one I used earlier, costs 10 rs more but is worth it.
