    Hi,
nono i didnt miss it..i cant really anwer it. my service center is 20 Kms away. but its owners take ..like looks are subjective so is the showroom location. if I really really want a bike and there is no showroom in my city then it would get it from the nearest showroom.either is next city or next state.

Can you please post the pic of the under seat storage. Ray z and alpha storage are really small. wont take half face helmet .

I honestly dont have time to run to svcs that far. Sure, i will post the pic tomorrow. Storage space is much bigger than ray or alpha.

        Hi,
Thanks, just one more question. how is the engine accessed? does the under-seat storage comes off or the body tilts like activa?

Can you please comment on following:-
              1. Ride Quality compared to Activa.(assuming you would have ridden activa at least once)
              2. Power delivery. I have ridden my frn's Suzuki access & I loved it in terms of power. A real powerhouse.
              3. Seating comfort with pillion.
              4. Headlight spread
              5. Mileage that you are getting. I understand its a new vehicle for you but I m sure you would have done your research.
              6. Assuming after sales service of all brands remain same, which one would you prefer between new activa & this Yamaha beauty.

I know a lot of questions but would be great if you could answer them all. Planning to sell 5 years old FZ & buy this.

                1. I owned a 1st gen activa. Also, I have test rode almost all current gen scoots. To me, Yamaha scoots are the most comfortable and easy to handle because they are light and have good suspension. In the matter of comfort, jupiter is also good but the life of tvs products isnt very inspiring for me.

                2. I dont really care about power in autoscoots. But for a puny 110cc motor, it pulls well, even with 200kg load it climbs inclined roads without any fuss. Obviously it wont be as powerful as an access becaue of the cc and bhp deficit. But it is no slouch. It can easily go against 100cc commuters.

                3. Seating is good. Even a guy my size, with a 74kg pillion can easily sit and commute without any ill effect.

                4. Headlamp is better than most scoots I have seen. Spread is very good. Although throw could have been better.

                5. The old ray motor gives a real world mileage of 52kpl(tested in my friend's scoot). As of now, in a brand new blue core motor, i am getting close to 55. Expected to increase after first service.

                6. I would prefer the yamaha for a simple reason that its a new platform with decent tech. Activa platform is quite dated now. If I had to buy an activa, I would go for the 125 rather than the 100.

But if I had to buy one, it had to be special. Also, it had to be economical otherwise it would defeat the purpose of being an easy commute. So my heart was finally set on the new Yamaha Fascino.
Its really fascinating... Seen 3-4 on road fell for it every colour scheme is nice... Had i not bought tvs Jupiter last year surely would have gone for this.....
Read reviews on Internet... But real reviews are ownership reviews...
Only turn off for me is meter console, instead of retro it should be classic.. But its subjective thing..

2)Spares are easily available.you can buy off the counter as well.
                      3) Quality is way above any available in India except Aprilia SRV.
4)i am not sure with bumper to bumper traffic you would get anything above 40, i get around 44Kmpl in highway with speed between 80 to 90 KMPH.

Anyway i have to say the Yamaha looks very good. i would have bought the Yamaha if ii was available when i got my vespa.

80-90kmph on a scooter on the highway? 😱. Hope you were all geared up! 😁

most of these scoots top out at 90-93 that means you are almost running at the engine between 80-95% capacity which will eat of the parts sooner than designed. 60-65 should be optimal speed . also smaller tyre and less contact patch with those speeds and improper weight distribution will become lethal.

                        slow down a bit.

Ya i understand it will eat up parts soon but then any machine when run in its optimum running capacity will have wear and tear,
I used to have CBR250 (time share bike) i never took it above 70Kmph as i didnt had the confidence on the bike, with the vespa i always feel safe . even in the twistes it feels well planted. My tires last about 10K , its reaching 20K and i need a new set . by the way i use Motul 300V , i know its a overkill but the smoothness it provides is not matched by the any other oil i tried.I take the vespa all the way till 105 and i tell u it feels well planted and has 0 vibes.

^^^ Well I agree it's a subjective matter and I mean no offence but saying Vespa is second to Aprilia is not only funny but ridiculous too.
Also, how can one feel safer at higher speeds on a scooter than a motorcycle having greater contact patch is beyond me! One rides with the motorcycle, whereas one rides ON a scooter. It's the very concept called stance that is a differentiating factor for me. Scooters are purely meant for city and riding above 60 is kinda meaningless.

Hi , I was comparing the quality of the meterials used, sorry u can take offense but activa jupiter and so on sold in India are next to a joke in quality department, please just check the headlight switch for example on activa and jupiter. looks like it has come off from a old tata bus...and they are asking around 60K for the scooter, i have seen many ..many activa and scooty with starting problems..which are not more than 1 months old. my vespa is close to 2.5 years i always start on first crank of the starter.
If i have to rate the quality of scooter in india . Aprilia , Vespa , TVS,Hero, Mahindra , Honda

About speed, if it has good tires, a good engine and built solid then taking it to 105 KMPH on highway is not meaningless.
