    After a waiting period of almost 6 months, finally got the original RE hand gaurds fitted-cost Rs2200. Meanwhile Safeena is stoically facing nature -another strong monsoon downpour today

    I would recommend you readjust the headlight level to see if it helps. Since your high beam is off, I would suggest you to loosen the allen bolts holding the headlamp unit and try adjusting it down and see how it fares, should give some solace. Leveling the headlight unit downward helps throw most of the usable light to the road rather than trees and pillars. Would suggest you give it a try.

    About stock lights

    I think, headlight is too weak when compared to an ADV, i have gone for extra LED by HJG! 60w each
    As you said, you don't want to add extra lights. There is an LED ie NIGHTEYE headlight bulb replacement,has a good throw and consumes less battery!
    I will be going in for that headlight as i cannot turn my extra LED's on, thats too bright for cities and will blind people.

    Hello Bikers, need your suggestion for Himalayan headlight. Low beam is bright enough but not happy with headlight performance on highway. High beam focus is too high with the factory fitted halogen. Tried changing extreme vision and one other halogen, but still the same focus.

    Yup, that is good idea. But, in case fuel vapors get converted to liquid, it's better they drain than they made stagnant in the tubes. On the other aspect of it, yes you can seal the intake routing from the EVAP cansister, and see if Safeena breathes well.

    I would suggest you disconnect the EVAP system temporarily and see how it fares. I would strongly recommend it on a trial and error basis. It mainly has to do with the fuel vent line towards the left side of the bike that drains the fuel/vapor into the EVAP canister and the opposite of that goes to the intake manifold via a solenoid. I would suggest you remove both these lines temporarily at the EVAP canister points, vent it to atmosphere and see observe.

    Strongly worth a try. Keep your observations posted.

    The bike was standing in a 1hour long downpour outside my office-from the hiccups and stalls she gave on the way back home,seems she didn't like it one bit.I will have to check the tank for any water ingress -n I just got the tank filled to the brim today itself-so fingers crossed

    I've never had water draining near the neck filler cap, I make sure the routes are always inspected and cleaned, that's one. The vehicle missing/stalling happens extremely rarely, but yes, it does happen, it has to with the fuel itself clogging the breather tube, way down the line. I always make sure it is cleaned and the bike performs brilliantly. Secondly, the swoosing happens due to insufficient tank vent at the cap side, try cutting the rubber O ring underneath the fuel cap where there is a small hole under the fuel tank cap, it solved mine.

    Hello peopbhxle!
    I bought the bs6 himalayan gravel grey edition!
    Clocked 1600kms so far.
    Running sweet, will change the oil at home as i don't trust re's oil.
    Apart from it, it is running good.
    Issues with gears sometimes, sometimes clunky, sometimes perfectly smooth.
    Engine has noise, maybe it needs to bed in properly.
    Smooth at 80-90 and haven't crossed 95kmph. An efficient motorcycle bdw. Brakes are good. Didn't feel that much confident with rear brakes.
