    Thanks for replying and yes i contacted the showroom representative and he had no on the service extension neither did i get any mail and hence the doubt.

    On the contrary, the best thing to do is starting the bike, rather than keeping it idle. Starting it and letting it idle for 10 minutes is not a bad idea and in fact helps keep the battery charged. Secondly, your warranty won't be void, RE is very much aware of the lock down and are extending free services dates, you can contact your RE showroom for more information on this. RE has officially sent out mails regarding extension of service intervals especially for new buyers.

    No interference with the windshield and the riding posture is a lot more open now with slightly lighter steering effort

    @zestbiker is the new handle hitting the windshield when its turned fully ? hows the ride comfort after the change ? i had changed the handle of my REH to one i had bought online but it had rusted so thinking of your type modification.

    As per the owner manual, bs4 himalayan has idle RPM at 1250 plus minus 50 rpm at EOT 80 deg where as the bs6 himalayan has idle RPM at 1350 plus minus 200 rpm.
    Mine bs6 himalayan idle rpm remains b/w 1500 to 1700 rpm and i noticed that after riding it about 40-45 km to my home. I asked RE showroom about this and told me to bring the bike to showroom and they'll look but then lockdown was enforced due to covid-19. Got my Himalayan sleet bs6 just a week before the lockdown and odo is at 321km. The idle rpm levels stays at around 1600-1800 rpm after engine is warmed up and ridden some kilometers which i noticed during my two rides to my work place (during the lockdown, emergency duty) which is about 70 km away. Also, my bs6 himalayan has orange display instead of white, but the colour does not concern me as long everything works fine. I wont be doing anything as Mandar_C500 advised and let the service centre guys handle it. Everything else on bike seems good...!!

    There is a big BRASS IDLE Screw on top of the throttle body, you turn it counter clock wise, the RPM increases, if you turn it clock wise it will reduce the RPM. You need to remove the tank and see the top of the throttle body and adjust it by turning quarter of a turn. Always adjust the idle at cold. The RPM should be set at 1150 to 1200 this way when the engine warms up, the idle will be set to 1450 to 1500. This can be done at the SVC also.

    In Classic 500 (EFI) there use to be a brass screw which is used to set the idle rpm, I would strongly suggest don't touch it.
    its not advisable to fiddle with the EFI system if you don't have proper tools. Saying from personal experience.
