Nice review. So, you are saying that you are getting around 50km/l. What is the city and highway road percentage?

    Waiting for your detailed review.
Engine performance is amazing for an 150 cc bike and refinement is great until it hits 80+ kms then the vibes start to kick in legs first then after taking it to 100+ you start to feel it in the hands, legs, and back due to the pillion box touching your back for comfort so not recommended going above 80 to 90 if you hate alots of vibes but yes it's much better then other 150 cc bikes out there in terms of comfort, mileage, and a overall package. The heat box is sometimes is a led down after the first service. It sometimes gets stuck on netural or first gear then I have to raise up the pick up from stop position to get the gear to work again which makes me feel the only part that's bajaj in the bike lol. Other then that it doesn't feel like a Bajaj at all. Headlight throw is amazing for a stock bike, specially the upper dipper. But not enough to stop others on highway to blind you silly. Hence it's better to add in Hid or double projectors set up with led's since the headlight has ample space for a double projector set up I'm thinking of going a round projector and a square projector for high beam with led setup, let me know your thoughts. Other then this.

It's been one month and I have clocked official 600 kms and unofficial 1100+ kms on the bike with 1st service done at 800 kms since you know bajaj has increased the way servicing works with new bikes. Next service is due at 4,500 kms but I talked to service guy in Koperkharane and he said come in at 3,500 kms just to be safe and if the bike has any issues will be fixed. Other problem I started facing now is when the bike is cold, I kick start and wait one min after that take a bike out at a slow speed for about 2 mins until I hit highway, after that whenever the bike is idle I hear a harsh sound from bike idling at high speeds or harsh sound coming from idling at speeds of 40+ which may or may not be coming from air box but I have yet to pin point it out, I did raise the question to the service guy and it said that engine oil change was required and the issue was fixed the first day but it came out the 2nd day and now it's part of the bike it seems but it does go away of 5 mins of highway riding and the engine gets hot so I don't think it's a huge issue but a concern where the sound is coming from and why, maybe a cold carb is causing it? Let me know what it could be?... Now coming to the mileage I'm getting 55+ on highway and local combined. I do 60% highway and 40% local people who travel from Dhombivli to Vashi would know the area in Navi Mumbai. The bike doesn't bottom out for me and my wife. Mostly me since I use it only for going and coming from work and wife and me enjoy it only on weekends. But since I'm only 104 kgs and wife is 55 kgs it evens out I suppose. I did solo push the limit of the shocks and the first seems to bottom out or hit something that makes a sound like tut. Everytime I speed thru a big bump or hole so I will have to watch out for anything big and slow down. The rare has never bottom out for me so I'm happy. Overall thanks to the tires I have yet to feel a single bump on my back, hands, legs or any part of my body and that's lame achievement bajaj has got under their bike for sure. For a commuter bike it's really an achievement to have so much packed into this wonderful package, only if the gear box was originally made for a V15 it would have been worth it completely but still overall a great package . I used to hate bajaj but I have to say they have done a great job at this V15 for sure. It looks premium, it feels premium.

Other thoughts. I like the fuel indicater if you idle for one min it shows you the actual fuel inside which is great info. I do daily of 60-80 kms everyday for getting average of 55+ for a 150cc bike that's great. At times I do get 60+ when it's driven at around 50-60+ so it's good. Any other questions I can answer for you guys. Thanks again. hope I answered all query's.

Both the bikes have similar configuration of a cruiser while V15 is something different then Avenger and has longer stroke then the Avenger 150 and price is 10 k to 12 k less then an Avenger so the choice is yours.

Both are different from each other from the aspects of looks and power. If you are more on the commuter side then go for v15 and if you are willing to have a classic look and a little bit of extra power then go for avenger. Best of luck.

Thanks AbhiAvvy13 The ratio of City to Highway is about 2;1 (400Kms in City & 200Kms on Highway). These are approximate. Know what?. I tried topping up the tank before I could run out of Fuel as I don't rely on the Fuel Level Indicator as mentioned in my previous post. There was some fuel in the tank. I took it to my regular Fuel Station & asked for a Top-Up. The guy kept filling & filling & filling. The tank just seemed to just take in all the fuel given. The rated capacity in 13 Liters & from my previous experience with Karizma & Thunderbird, a top-up usually takes in about a liter more than the rated capacity. All those concepts went for a toss as this tank guzzled in 16.25 Liters & still had space for more. I had to stop the guy as there was a long queue behind me & everyone started honking restlessly. I really have to check it out in leisure & only then I can comment on the exact Fuel Efficiency. Got to hold on for some more time till the engine completely sets in.

Your comment was helpful as i'm also in same dilemma. However i'm more concerned about riding position. I'm 5'11" 72 kg & i know Avenger will be great comfort for me. Still i really love the V15 but uncertain about my seating position. I don't want the bike to look miniature. Would be glad if anyone can help. Thank you.

I'm 5'11 as well with 101 kgs weight and the bike looks great on me.

Then it's done. Thank you for saving me from this dilemma. Please attach a pic of yourself riding on your bike. That would be really helpful.

Hi Everyone, A rookie from Vasco-da-Gama, Goa here. Just got my Bajaj V today. Rode it from Dealership to my home (2 Kms). Gear shifting was difficult, not at all smooth. Yet to master the clutch as I released the lever slower than accelerating so the bike made weird cries at times. Will update more after I ride later in the evening when i go to fill petrol.
Even I was skeptical before buying as to whether the bike would suit me. Considering Shadcool's comments about height & weight, i went ahead as I am 5'10" and 75 Kgs. Will add pics later sometime. I would like to thank all the members here for giving me an idea about the bike. Lots to learn now.

Update: Gearbox went smooth after some kms. Engine sound is minimal. However, Engine heats up alot. Another issue is with the gear shift from Neutral to first, have to move bike slightly for shifting. I rode 20 kms and feeling more confident with the clutch.
I have tried Splendor, Glamour & Pulsar, but this clutch is way different from theirs. Any advice for me???

                            Hi guys,
I have changed the lights and the handlebar.
Riding just 2500+ kms with longest ride of 250 km with average speed in highway 70-80 km and max 105 km (till now) I am getting actually unbelievable milage of 570-600 km for reserve to reserve (11.5+ ltr).
I have tunned the engine myself and for the vibration issue I have changed the Handlebar. Now I feel a very less amount of vibration when I reach 100 km, so I don't pull it after 100-105 kmph. But sometimes while slowing down from 80 to 60-50 vibration hits until speed is like 40, so now sometimes it vibrates between 50-60 only when slowing down, for acceleration there is no vibration.
I also wanted to have classic round shaped headlights and the speedo+taco meter type instrument box, but the mechanic insisted me to do it after sometime, so I just only change the halogen and fit double angel eye projector and two axillary led projector at led guard

                              Hi Bajaj V owners,

Am planning to get a commuter and have Bajaj V in the list too. The one thing that keeps this machine down to Shine SP & Saluto 125cc is the engine. As Honda & Yamaha are good with engine quality & refinement, we compare it with our Indian (Hero, Bajaj & TVS) manufacturers and tend to chose Japanese over Indian.

But now as Bajaj has made this V15 an inevitable choice while selecting a commuter with it's Patriotic and styling campaign i can't get over it.
Hence kindly clear the doubts and questions that i have found out in the internet, as you guys will have clocked few thousands KMs and rode over different roads by now am sure your answers and long term reviews will help me a lot.

                              1. Engine over heating issue
                              2. Gear shift is very harsh
                              3. Mileage is not even close to 50 KMPL

Do post your long term reviews to clear doubts and help people like me.
                              Thank you.
