re: Hero Maestro Edge Ownership review and experience
Dear Nairrk and All,
My cousin wants to purchase a scooter and has narrowed down between TVS Jupiter and Hero Maestro Edge.
Have ridden the Jupiter and it has superb ride quality due to the rear suspension being gas charged. Have not ridden the Maestro Edge, please share your experience of the ride quality of the Maestro Edge.
Also, since you have ridden both could you give a comparison of the ride quality between the two? Which scooter is more comfortable to ride on our potholed roads, all other things are not so important.
Please reply as soon as possible.
Thanks!

re: Hero Maestro Edge Ownership review and experience
Hi tribe,
I am here for your opinions.
I want to buy a scooter for convenience in city traffic.
Previously, I had fixed my mind on all new suzuki access 125. It costs nearly 70 thousand rupees in Chennai, on road.
I have a geared motorcycle which will not go for more than 60k rupees in the second hand market. I will be buying a new scooter only after selling it - not going to have two vehicles at home due to financial restraints and minimal usage. Hence I had lowered my specs and now want to buy a 110 cc scooter.
With respect to this idea, I took test rides of TVS Jupiter. I was completely sold to the top end model. But there seemed to be some voids in the base and middle variants. They cost below rs 60k but don't come with all the features. Color options are crazy as well, just like their hard tyres which are not so grippy. I even don't like the top end model's color! That's when I saw Hero Maestro Edge. I never considered Hero scooters as I thought their scooters were heavy, slow and had engines that were not robust. Also their break up from Honda and a not so happening deal with EBR of USA made me think of their products' reliability and lack of tech.
After seeing this thread, many reviews and the website of the scooter, I have now changed my mind and fixed it on Hero Maestro Edge. I love the way it looks, esp the cute face and sharp body lines. It perfectly seems to fit my character as well. I am more of a lifestyle person and would love to buy vespa or new access because of their neo-retro looks. But as they demand more price, I feel they don't do anything more than what these small scooters do at a lower price. Maybe when I grow up and earn more, I'd buy them! Maestro Edge looks trendy and at the same time not so flashy - I like things sporty and at the same time with a neat styling. Don't wanna get the name 'hooligan' or 'squid' just by the looks of the scooter. Nor, a 'poster guy' tag too.
My queries and concerns are as follows:
1. How is it to ride the scooter with pillion? I am looking for riding dynamics instead of pulling power here. Does it behave wobbly or too heavy over bumps and turns?
2. Is the footboard large enough to carry a backpack and keep our feet?
3. How reliable are Hero Motocorp scooters? I don't want to know about their Hero Honda days. I don't want a leaky scooter or to get stranded in the middle of my rides. I want all electricals and lights to work properly without fluctuating/ turning off.
4. Does the weight of the scooter affect it's performance? I don't want it's acceleration timings but just want to know how it pulls with two people on it. Afterall, that's the convenience I am looking for without working through gears! I ask this because it is 4 to 5 kilos heavier than many scooters out there.
5. How does it suit tall people - nearly 5'11"? I hope that's not a problem as I've seen tall riders riding it.
Apart from all these, I am sold to the practical features it offers, just like jupiter and much more without asking for a premium amount. I feel this scooter is highly under rated in our country!
The head of this dinosaur - Acrotholus and the maestro edge's headlight cluster look very similar. Haha just saying, it's both cute and powerful.
Thanks,
Srinath.Last edited by srinath2494; 11-21-2016, 11:33 AM.

I have not driven Jupiter but had TVS Wego for almost 15 months. If you ask me to compare between these two, definitely I would recommend Maestro Edge..Originally posted by cyborgk View PostDear Nairrk and All,

1.No wobbling or any such problem. It is comfortable even riding for two grown ups i.e with a pillion rider..Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostHi tribe,

2. I did not try to keep any backpack on the footboard but have seen people keeping medium size parcel and managing to place their foot at the edge and riding comfortably..
3. Hero Motocorp reliability?? - Well, what to say - they are in the existence for long time and branded as no.1 two wheeler seller in India. However, make sure you have
a Service station near your place.
4. I mostly ride with two people and never felt any lagging because of more laden weight...!
5. Two wheeler will not have problem because of the person is more height (may be a problem for persons who are basically shorter...)
Yes, it has good extra features..__________________________________

re: Hero Maestro Edge Ownership review and experience
My Maestro Edge is shaking from rear side. What could be the issue?
Roads are pretty normal, but it still shakes. Also, suspension doesn't seem good now as it was in first couple of weeks. Even a pothole of 1-1.5cms of depth, I get shocks to my shoulder. What could be the issue?

4198 KMS done, I am facing a backpain, after going through some pothole in the city. Suspension is very bad in Maestro Edge.Originally posted by saurabh28 View PostMy Maestro Edge is shaking from rear side. What could be the issue?
