First 1000 are crucial but most boring, knowing the power of throttle with restriction of Owner's manual.

The drive from showroom to home around 15 kms got enough attention and questions then in last 3 years ...
and one more thing it will be first Uttar pradesh registered versys as I was told by the manager ..

Will be updating soon about ride experiences ..

Big congrats on your purchase ! I too was few days ago in a dilemma between 600i and 650f but ended up with a TNT 300. . Just as you righfully said in another quote. It just DOUBLES your love for motorcycle when you are made to wait for one by your parents :P

Also I felt it makes you even more happy when you spend months with insomnia and headache thinking about what to buy and then finally buy something :P kind of builds up the excitement ALOT !

Hope you have the most amazing travels with this beauty ! and Ride safe ! Cheers !

Re: Life will never be same again - > The Black Hawk -> Versys 650

Recently test rode a Ninja 650 (as versys was not available in Hyd), the gear box thoroughly spoils the overall experience. Everytime I would go from n to 1st, there was a huge "THUD" sound. Even aggressive downshifts did not feel nice (Only due to the gear box). The gear box indeed felt very clunky) The bike I got was ill maintained one as the chain was rusted.

Also noticed significant vibration on the tank, handle bar & handlebar. Now I don't know if its specific to the particular bike i took for TR or its how the Ninja 650 motor behaves.

The engine was a CHARM!! (Except the vibrations) ... endless torque in every RPM and band. It is one crazy monster when throttle is opened. Also It comfortable putters around the city without any complaints (NO clattering or knocking). Acceleration is phenomenal.

Handling on the Ninja 650 too was not very confidence inspiring (it was kind of swinging on a long highspeed corner). I have know idea which setting were the suspensions at.

Braking was good enough though ABS would have been so much better. ( Versys has one )

The owners let me know what did you feel about your new machines. I was very interested to get the Versys 650 in future, until I took the Ninja 650 test ride.

Also i test rode the Yamaha R3 just after Ninja 650 (back to back) and the gear box performance was so very evident ... like hell and heaven. The r3's gear box is extremely smooth and precise. Also the engine is absolutely vib free in every RPM.

Although I am not upgrading very soon ... but still left me into a confused state.

ninja 650f, versys 650 and R3 three different bikes for different purpose for me. I rode R3 loved it very much super smooth and super looking beast. Ninja 650 is more popular for its durability , reliability ,cost , ninja tag then for anything else .

Yeah the gears are little clunky and there is that thud sound but nothing un bearable on what I am riding. Versys is far more superior technically then ninja 650f having same engine, but yeah I have to admit is not butter smooth like I felt on 600GT. but all beast comes with there secret weapons

Versys is tall i am almost 5'11" but I think my height is just ok for this bike anything short will struggle . I have feeling that this bike will grow on you as you get older together. A person should go to versys only if long traveling is on the card, if not you will waste both bike and your money .

Let me get into more details and will keep updating .

              Cheers!!!

Can you also let me know if you inquired the dealer about other color options? Its been quite a while since launch and they have been selling the v like hot cakes so it's high time they introduced at least one more color

As much as I know its not very high selling model for them , that's why no color option just to reduce logistics.

I am a regular buyer from aliexpress. But honestly its a gamble, 80% times I received my orders, rest 20% , the money was refunded. Only negative is the time taken for delivery.

It eventually comes to the formula (price is inversely proportional to distance) hehhe

Many Congratulations on the Versys, wishing you many more happy miles with smiles!!

I have owned a Ninja 650 in the past, although the tank capacity is 16-17 liters, the max i could use was around 14 liters. Is this the same with Versys (i know Versys has 21 liter tank) too? how much fuel in the tank is usable. I am seriously considering to buy this bike, hence looking forward for your response.

                                Cheers!!
