Re: 2017 Duke 250
make sure your bike is lubed appropriately, apart from it I don't think there is much to worry about. and why to wrap it up in keeping it in the garage? I was just waiting for the summer to pass.Originally posted by amitkolte View PostHi guys!!
Since monsoon is around the corner..
Please suggest how to maintain the bike.
1) If using for daily commute in the rains what care should be taken?
2) If wrapping it up and keeping it in the garage what needs to be done?
Thanks

Great, otherwise it would have been a big head ache.Originally posted by Royalapache View PostTurned out that there was a minute puncture right in the middle, which the Tyre shop guys failed to find twice, I asked the ktm svc guys to check for any fault in rim, the rim was all good, that was an great relief, the KTM guys were good enough to find the puncher and mark it for me.

Re: 2017 Duke 250
Thanks for your views. I've ridden 2500kms till now and the feedback has disappeared somehow. The upshift from 2-3 and 3-4 were clunky but they also have smoothened out to a great extent.Originally posted by tellisjelson View PostNo feedback on the fingers but upshift 2-3 is a little louder at times. Downshift is very smooth.

Improper seating of tyre cause this problem. This happened to me many occasions. The local puncture shop guy remove the tyre and found the location where the air is leaking. Then he took a blunt wedge and hammer( too blunt that it will never harm the tyre). Then he starter to give slight hammering using with the wedge on the tyre near the air leak location. This way the tyre seated properly and the leak stopped. The reason he gave for leaking is the puncture shall be patched with full air otherwise it leads to such leakage sometimes. He also said its common in tubeless tyre so thats why he is keeping the blunt wedge ( i dont see any other purpose for the wedge because it is too blunt, so had to believe him). Also there is another thing called tyre pasting thats what AC guy told me once for this issue and charged me 200 rupees for that.

What's the solution?Last edited by dineshaugustin; 05-27-2017, 06:55 AM.

Re: 2017 Duke 250
Thank you, there is no paint peeling off the rims and can this be fixed?Originally posted by leech View PostAir leak from the rim of the tyre can be due to hitting potholes on the road at speed. If the alloys are lightweight, this could happen again.
Also check if paint is peeling off the rims. Thats another reason for the air leak.

Ill paint the rims and ill maintain it.. ill be going for orange..Originally posted by Royalapache View PostI had same the same idea, to paint the rims orange but once I got the bike I loved it the way it was. And are you planning to get the White one or the Orange one?
I wanna make it look like 390, so rim orange, trellis frame white and orange and knuckle guard..
