Congratulations. Welcome to the club.

Are you done with Run-in? How is the bike performing ? From which bike you are upgrading ?

Hi Guys,
Looking for some tips- I own Ninja 300 and planning to upgrade to N650, is that ideal upgrade?

Problem with Ninja 300 (2018) is, lack of abs and not comfortable for long rides. The bike will be used for daily office commute and occasional long rides (under 500 kms)

Other option, though out of my budget right now but considering to wait, is Street Twin. But if N650 is comfortable, even if not as good as street twin, I think that's worth an upgrade and I can save a lot.

How is the seating position when compared to cbr 250? I am also an owner of a 2011 model cbr 250 nd planning to upgrade soon. I am not so comfortable with the cbr's seating position.

does anyone has any idea about emission test after upgrading to akrapovic full system exhaust ? Will it pass or fail the emission test ?

Full system means you are removing the catalytic converter hence PUC test will fail.

Hello,

Being an owner of Ninja 650 for around 4 months now and I have done rides close to 1000 Km (one way), the bike is super comfortable and can easily do speeds upwards of 150 kmph without any sort of engine strain. I have also been doing office commutes and bike is very nimble in the city too. All well, however the ground clearance have started becoming an issue as you have to drop your speed to a single digit to avoid exhaust scrape, that too without a pillion

I don't think upgrading to a 650 would be that of an upgrade, you should check bikes with bhp upwards of 90 and also at least an inline 3. Upgrade the cylinders not just the CC !

Seating position is more of an upright than aggressive. Office commutes or long highway rides, Ninja 650 does it all without ease without breaking your back. I do office duties with a laptop bag behind and there is no issue at all. With the help of fairing you can tuck anytime when you want to gain speed quickly.

Hello everyone, my friend recently got a N650 and we are looking for frame sliders. We are confused between the types available in the market as the local dealers claim that theirs is better. IMHO,, It'duseless to post their images. Please suggest some good frame sliders.

Puig and R&G sliders are the best available in the market. If you ask me, frame sliders are only useful at drops at standstill/lower speeds. It might do more harm than good to the chassis in case of a high speed crash.

Greetings Gamittal Im Kratos planning to buy a 650SBK, i want to know your valuable experience with this beast.
I shortlisted to Ninja 650 or CBR 650. My main concerns are

1. I will be using the bike for commuting ~80km per day. So will the heat be manageable and also wat is the mileage i can expect.
2. Is the weight concerning you, il be upgrading from CBR 250R.
3. The reason im inclined for honda over kawasaki is the after sales support, maintenance, spares price. Is the two lakhs difference justified or will the servicing of ninja make the difference amount negligible.
4. Vibrations,Refinement,Comfort are my top priority. Kawasaki has no test drive for 650 so i dont have any idea about the refinement of twin. Ur opinion ?

your reply is very valuable to me. Kindly suggest me the best option so i dont regret my decision. Cheers ..

Hi Guys, I am very close to getting a pre-owned 2018 Ninja 650. While I have researched the bike thoroughly and am satisfied with most aspects of the bike I have two questions that I would like to ask owners of the bike and get real world feedback. Just a request - Since I have already done enough research online, I would prefer feedback from people who have actually owned/ridden this bike extensively.

1. Ground clearance: I am aware that the GC of the bike is 130mm and is definitely lower than ideal.
How does this manifest in the real world?

Does the bike scrape most speed breakers?

Does the exhaust system get affected/damaged to the extent that it needs repairs due to incidents where the underbelly scrapes when manouevering speed bumps and potholes?

I plan to do a lot of 2up riding (with pillion) in the city where the concentration of bumps and craters is the maximum. How does it hold up? Is it impossible to ride uneventfully in the city?

2. Pillion comfort: I have had my partner accompany me on short test rides, but, I would like to know about pillion comfort on reasonably long rides.
Is it very uncomfortable or is it fine with some breaks?

How is it in the city?

Any color on the pillion comfort will be very helpful.

Since I need to decide soon, I will really appreciate quick responses from knowledgable members of this community. Thanks.

Last weekend, me and a friend of mine who owns a Ninja 650 did a 1000 kms ride. The bike did bottom out on many occasions. I asked him if it was a problem and he said it was. The part where it bottoms out has bent inwards and he said it's common on 650's as he sees most of them bent when he goes for service.

I did see him maneuver a few bumps carefully and go sideways but those bumps were just too horrible.

2-up riding will be an issue but if you can maneuver the bumps carefully inside the city, i don't think it is going to be that hard to own the bike.
