Re: TVS-NTorq 125 Ownership Thread
I did a Mileage check of my scooter last week, Taking it to office 14Kms away, that is 28Kms daily and a bit of short runs.
This was done mostly riding single but fairly easy traffic conditions (not bumper to bumper).
I am getting a mileage of 45.5Km/L.
The number should be higher as I ran 1.6Kms on reserve before a full tank for which on the meter was 3.86L. ran for 176Kms till reserve hit.

Re: Changed my decision
Thank you. Have just booked it for now. But I am pretty sure I won't be changing my mind this time. Essentially even I know this is a Access 125 with a new body kit. I think the state of tune is also exactly the same.Originally posted by notanoob View PostCongratulations on your purchase. Even I had test drove the burgman but since I already owned swish 125 I did not feel the worth of paying extra just for led light and extend front end with the same performance as swish.

Congratulations on your purchase. Even I had test drove the burgman but since I already owned swish 125 I did not feel the worth of paying extra just for led light and extend front end with the same performance as swish.Originally posted by Vikramaditya View PostHi Fellow Riders,
The cold start issue mentioned in the forum was always a point of concern. What sealed the fate was the fact that I decided to take the test ride of the Burgman today. I know it is rude to sing praises of another vehicle on a forum which is dedicated to another vehicle, but the feel and most importantly the practicality when I keep my wife in perspective made me decide to cancel the booking of the Ntorq and book the Burgman.
I realised its not as quick or nimble but has loads of space and somehow the test ride vehicle gave me more confidence under hard braking. I missed the pull of the Ntorq when i wringed the accelerator but the comfort level made me realise that this is a better pick for my wife. If I was buying a scooter for myself I would never even look at the Burgman, but at the end of the day I feel my wife would feel more comfortable on it. Though I have to admit as soon as I look at the rear tyre I feel its grossly mismatched. In that respect nothing beats the Ntorq.
Kindly do not take offence to my post. I only thought its fair to share my decision with everyone rather than simply disappear. I appreciate the time taken out by the owners to share their point of views. Truly grateful to you all.

The very first time they changed the spark plug as i was facing idling issue. Vehicle use to stop when its under 10kmph so they changed it and increasd rpm setting.Originally posted by notanoob View PostFirst we need to understand what exactly the service guys changed and do you see hicups while riding I mean loss of power or irregular idling .
It should either be the spark plugs or dust inside the carb blocking the Jets . It could also be the electrical system , have you done any modifications to the bike? Like changing the bulb or horn .
I've received motul Le engine oil going replace stock oil with it and see if it reduces the sudden pickup delay
When the bike was running fine it use to hiccup while starting up in the morning..
I haven't done any modifications and never intend to do it..
The tvs territory manager will pik up the vehicle tomorrow morning.

First we need to understand what exactly the service guys changed and do you see hicups while riding I mean loss of power or irregular idling .Originally posted by THE LEGEND View PostNope im the same guy. Even i thot the issue resolved, hence took the ntorq again amd while returning it refused to start....
Towd it again..
It workd when i used it locally and kept it idle for 24 hours just after short 5 6 kms ride.
Buy when i took it to work 32 kms and kept there for 9 hours under shade... It refused to start at 330am.
What do u guys think the issue is? Pls help i dont know whats the issue..
How can it start fine kept idle for 24 hours after short ride and doesn't start aftr 30kms done and 9 hour idle.

Re: TVS-NTorq 125 Ownership Thread
1K completed in 21 days. Loving every bit of it.
As I am riding everyday now, so not facing the starting issue anymore. Starts in 2-3 kicks in morning (no/very mild accelerator input after the kick completes, will do) .
Touched 101 km/hr(speedo indicated) thrice. Started ripping my bikes after 1st servicing at 700kms. Engine freeing up now.... Exactly this process I followed in my Jupiter.
Had a panic braking experience yesterday. For the first time I will praise the TVS tyres. It didnt skid in the wet and grip is spot on. Oh Yes, the rear break is tad bit weak though.
As I had said before, my concern about that plastic under foot board remains intact. One fall, and will be replaced.Last edited by sambit; 08-25-2018, 01:34 PM.

Re: TVS-NTorq 125 Ownership Thread
First Post [emoji3]
I bought ntorq on the 2nd August and till now I've completed close to 1000+ kms.
Bought for 75k including accessories @hyd , frost grey colour.
Delivery experience is similar to what others here mentioned . Below are couple of points I would like to point out about this bike
• Initial pickup is little lagging compared to other 125 cc bikes ( I own a swish ) but mid range is quite good ,though you will have to crank the throttle to feel the pickup .
• suspension is spot on soft when ridden below 40 stiff once you cross 50 . This helps in control.
• ntorq app is ok but you will need to be connected each and every time you switch off the vehicle. Map my India does not have all the locations available to navigate and the biggest miss is lack of traffic prediction.
• Quality of plastics are not that good . Fit and finish is not up to the likes of other japanese scotter , lot of panel gaps and plastic next the foot board is flimsy.
• it gives me about 180kms for a full tank excluding reserve ( I tend to fill it up at reserve) both in sane and hard riding
• After the first service I feel the bike sounds stressed on some load . I am guessing they need to adjust the tadbit .
• I didn't have any issue with cold startup as others pointed out here . However this bike has auto chock which may be the culprit for others .
I am thinking of switching oil to motul le and see if it gives any gains . I would like others inputs about that though .
Happy Riding [emoji3]

Re: TVS-NTorq 125 Ownership Thread
Im glad you took the time to sum up such a nice and most importantly "honest" review. What impressed me despite coming from the Dominar is also the pick up and the handling. I could feel the difference the fatter tyres make as compared to the Activa which my wife currently rides. The distance to empty reading in the app is also very useful. My bike doesnt have it. It doesnt have 90% of the smart features this scooter has.Originally posted by Gollum View PostJust so you know, the electric start also works, but it will take about 1-2 minutes of continuous cranking. Meaning you press and hold the electric start button for nearly 2 minutes to start the Scooter. People may think you are weird and going to burn the starter motor but that it what it normally takes to start it.
If you use the scooter "everyday", you wont have any starting issue. But miss a day and you will be back to square one.
FYI..I downgraded from Scooty Zest 110 to nTorq. Downgrade wrt starting and mileage.
You can get an average of 40Kmpl with this if you or Wifey rides alone (not in city). If you have a pillion you will get about 32Kmpl(city).
Now that I have said all about the cons, let me start with the Pros:
1: The suspension is brilliant, as good as Splendor but not R3 lol. Lets say its better than Honda Activa.
2: The handling is great. Fat rear Tyre gives loads of grip and I a more confident in taking a curve on ntorq than my R3 running MRF's.
3: The chassis is rigid and gives a good feel over the bumps and two-up riding
4: the pass light is great but is not positioned well
5: Headlight High beam is pretty good but Low beam is like a searchlight. aka very short/near throw. You end up using high beam to be able to see the road.
6: Horn is very loud and you can be sure to be heard by even a deaf person (metaphorically).
7: Stats on the speedo and the app keep you updated and you can be very sure on how many kms you've done with fuel you are left with after reserve. Thanks to a trip meter called "F". This is new to me. Might be already available on other bikes etc.
8: The best Seat I've sat on. its as good as a sofa. But I'm 5'10", so the handle bar is very close to me. It took me a while to get used to the weird riding posture. R3's handle and seat are not really close to each other.
Like I said I am a noob when it comes to scooters and i really liked the way this scooter looks and felt and also my wife keeps saying how all the scooters in the market look like anyone from the age of 15 to 50 could ride one without polarising opinions, meaning they have all become very similar looking. Apart from the SR, Vespa and Burgman I think this is the only one which stands out.
Seat comfort is of course a big thing and many like you have confirmed this. My wife is 5 ft 5 so this should suit her well.

Thanks for the reply. Actually there is pretty much no such thing as winter in Vadodara, specially if you are coming from the North. The temperature at its coldest is about 14 degrees here.
This starting issue is looking to be a bit of a concern now. Problem is I dont want her to get another Honda and the Burgman is beyond my already bloated budget and looks weird with those small wheels. We do have indoor parking at my place and her work place but I guess I am really looking for excuses to buy this scooter.
Still I am very thankful for your candid feedback.
