Hi.. I have the red matte version.. Got a few noticeable scratches on the front and sides , some idiots at my work believe in parking bikes as if they were kissing each other is a very good idea ..

So, the question is, anyone know of a spray paint that can be used to cover them up? I asked TVS guys in Hyderabad and the have no clue about it

You can try this. Better buy it offline as this is too expensive online.

I am among the first owner of ntorq, recently comoleted6a year and yesterday came back from a 400kms round trip..
I think i am the only one who faced worst starting issue. It was a nightmare for me, had to tow it 2 times from vikhroli to kharghar at 330am.
The faulty was recognised, it was faulty choke and
Spark plug. Since then never had starting issue.
It easily gives me 45 to 50 kmpl in bumper to bumper traffic as i ride only alone.
Even after facing issues, I'd still recommend it.
Its the best and practical scooter.
If youll wait more, they may add abs..

Also if you could help me with my last query regarding water tightness of the fuel lid. Mumbai rains are brutal and Jupiter fuel lid by design is inclined so water around the inlet is bound to drain off. But the nTorq is absolutely horizontal and would face the full brunt of rains if left outside. Does any water go into the tank if left in rains?

ntorq's fuel lid/cap is not flat.
Its at an angle.
Also, the cap sits on the lip of the plastic tank so water would not go in.
Water would just seep down on the tyre below.

Its like the tank cap of an RE Classic or the old CD100

Well, the new models do not have this starting issues AFAIK. Did you check the date of the online posts. Those were for the Old release model/batch (my scooter).

The posts where generally from around 2018 so I did not assume a lot of changes for the bike. But yeah I have clearly told the Sales Advisor that I want the 2019 model and the he has readily agreed for the same as well.

Try to get the dealer to show you the manufacture date. its a sticker at the handlebar just below the Digital Meter.

For mileage. Its certainly more than Baleno but lesser than most 110cc scooters. if you run it in the TVS designed Eco mode you would get around 35Kmpl without pillion in bumper to bumper traffic.

Thanks for the update. I agree that any mileage more than the Baleno (it gives me around 13-14 in very heavy traffic with AC) is good for me . Since it's been a while since I had a two-wheeler for myself (read 10 years), I am not sure what is a good mileage for a bike nowadays considering bikes have a lot more power than the past.

Even with the starting problem, no one has ever told that the scooter failed to start. It starts, but after 1 or maybe 2 minutes of continuously holding the electric start. yes, its annoying but I've noticed that with daily running, the starting issue does not appear.

Yeah that is also true. Since I will be using it when I have to leave early from office or there is too much traffic, so chances are bike will be left unused for more than a couple of days per week. That's why the concern.

I own an April2018 model and it used to have starting issue, but after 2000kms, it disappeared. Even if I keep it untouched for 10 days(That's max I tried) it just took me 3 kicks (I tried kick to as I don't wanna hurt the battery). After an idle of 3 days, one electric start was enough.

I use it in Banglore and I'm getting overall of 33 with bumper to bumper traffic, and 29 with super bumper traffic. I have got 45+ with pillion couple of times when there were no traffic during my weekend trips. I do a tank to tank measurement.

Hi guys, I am new xBhpian and was primarily TBHPian till now. So I stay in Mumbai and my primary mode of traveling is my car (Baleno Delta 1.2 2015). I was looking for a scooty to travel to office daily to avoid checking google maps before leaving which i have to do now with the car.
My basic requirement was a disc brake which was non negotiable for me. Zeroed in on the following:

TVS Jupiter - I liked it for its comfort and external fuel lid, but the disc brake came in Zx, Classic and Grande and TVS has seriously messed up the colour schemes there. I would have anydays preferred a standard Jupiter which is available in so many colour trims along with a disc brake but that is not to be.

Suzuki Access 125 - I liked it, but wife's feet wouldnt reach the ground so it was out.

Burgman - Neither me nor wife liked it.

Activa 125 - The salesman at the dealership himself made us turn the other way and say this one isn't good and has a long waiting.

Grazia - Didn't like the looks so out.

TVS NTorq - Loved the looks (I did, wife didn't) and the sound and the features and the power and the performance and everything about it. Even now my mind is all set on buying it and I was to go and just pay the booking amount for the same this weekend. But when I read about it, its starting problem issue is a grave concern for me. I just googled "TVS Ntorq s" and the first suggestion by google was TVS Ntorq Starting problem. Also tons of videos on Youtube is not helping it's cause either. My heart is all set on it but it's just not me who will be using it and I dont want to my wife to get stuck trying to start it at her office at night when trying to leave.

So guys, please convince me somehow that this issue is resolved now and this is a safe bet. I love everything about this scooty but I can't risk it refusing to start and leaving me or wife stranded. Also if any Mumbaikar here could help me with the real world mileage figures in Mumbai traffic (Goregaon to Andheri via Aarey) and how does the external fuel lid function during monsoons and heavy rains, is there any leakage of water into the tank?

Guys I missed my second service. Ntorq is not at 33XX Kms
As far as I remember, 2nd service is inspection only service.
Do I really need to take it for the second service?
Or go for the 3rd service and get the engine oil changed then.

They do top up oil on the second service. Please do take your scooter for the 2nd servicing.

My Ntorq gives me a mileage of 30kmpl in Bangalore, I ride it in the economy state as much as possible. The odometer reading is 1100km. Isn't that mileage a bit bad or should I get it checked?

I have heard it improves post 2nd /3rd servicing. Even i had the issue.. Post second service its little better 37+kmpl.

My Ntorq gives me a mileage of 30kmpl in Bangalore, I ride it in the economy state as much as possible. The odometer reading is 1100km. Isn't that mileage a bit bad or should I get it checked?
