    Re: Interceptor 650 Twin

    Hi happy owners of INT650,

I am planning to buy a INT650 for myself, but only after selling my R15V2 off.
In the meanwhile I am trying to understand how the after-sales service in Bangalore.

Also I would like to know if I should wait for the BS6 update.

Seems like this way all around but in many cities few dealers has unsold GT so try different dealers. And book the bs6 for now the booking amount is refundable, other 350 bs6 have started arriving at dealerships , possibly other models would come soon.

So it's been 1 month of owning the interceptor and it's been so much fun riding and customising it. I was lurking through the xbhp, teambhp forums, whatsapp & Facebook groups and been sourcing parts to customize. So here's all I've done so far

    Fixwell motors Bangalore
    1. Black Engine guard - Rs 1400
    2. Black Aluminium Sump Guard - Rs 1400
    3. Rear foot rests - Rs 550
    4. Back rest with small luggage carrier - Rs 900
    5. Himalayan windshield with clamps - Rs 650
    6. RD 350 handlebars - Rs 400
    7. Maddog FR70 headlights - Rs 6800
    8. Bar end mirrors - Rs 550
    9. BS3 switch with parking light mod - Rs 500
    10. 3M tank PPF/ scratch guard top only - Rs 650

    Amazon
    11. Bought tail light with integrated indicators Rs 1600
    12. Bobo claw grip mobile holder Rs 1200
    13. Gear shoe protector - Rs 120

    Royal Enfield
    14. Removed rear mud guards

    BI Seat covers Shivaji Nagar
    15. Custom RD seat with hard foam and red cover Rs 2200

    Car craze JP Nagar
    16. number plate guard Rs 350

    Upcoming mods
    17. Ordered tank pads from bang good - Rs 700
    18. Thunderbird round indicators
    19. Need to make the seat narrower since i have big thighs
    20. Need to move the foot pegs back as this position is giving leg pain in 100+ km rides. Need to check if can be replaced with gt foot pegs
    21. Going to powder coat the engine black
    22. Planning to get the matte black AEW t101 exhausts

    Now time for some images

Hi , this is not a good thing you should put neembo mirchi on the Motorcycle to save it from buri nazar(evil sight).[emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787].

On a serious note this is excellent fuel efficiency figures.

Hi, for me from 100-120 on 6th gears and highways have always got 30-31kmpl.

Some have got even 34kmpl when kept strictly below 100kph with very mild acceleration through the gears.

    In City,
I always get around 24-27kmpl depending on traffic.

    Cheers

Light ticking is normal , Even i still haven't got it done no abnormal noise till now. At the time of my service there was ni such mandate. But still considering it is mandatory now the workshop should have adjusted it. My bike was tested by 2 engineers and both agree it is not needed as of now. Valve clearance should be checked at recommended intervals.

If belt driven was aimed at solving a problem which chain driven system had introduced then whole motorcycle would have been dominated by belt driven.

The only bright side I see with belt system is there will no sudden wheel lock-ups like when chain slips off of the sprocket!

You eventually pay 4X more price on a belt system to do 4x less maintenance!
The same reason why people buy Lambos and ride it twice every year. The same reason why loud exhausts are sought after. Well jokes apart, it's good to see we are at least having options. It's a fancy thing sought after the "American Bullet" company introduced them to the masses, at least that's how most know such a drive existed.

Now, each drive will have its own merits and demerits, depending on the designs and what not, but eventually these are for those who would like to say "hey, why not what gives, let's give it a shot. Perhaps the person might like it, or not but hey it's his moolah, it's his machine and oh the bragging rights.

    Cheers!

Food for thought. Pirellis become Perilous after a certain time. Probably different compound and or hard wearing, but as long as things are replaced and issues taken care of, RE is doing a great job.

And you're right Inder, those speculations were cleared once another gentleman here replaced the front end for a similar issue.

But, it's a solace knowing it's isolated to a tire and not the entire front end. You just never know with RE.

I for some reason got the sports demon in place of phantom sports comp(same speed rating and size).
