So i waited and at the end of Feb still not heard a single word from the dealer i went back to the dealership to find out it has been dealyed till march end so as i asked about my bike and i found out it was still is the mark three black and requested again that they change it to white again and they agreed again. This is where i start to get a bit annoyed. So on March 9th thinking my bike is almost here i payed the down payment of 1lakh and gave my personal details for registration. After two weeks i kept calling the dealership no one picked up and i was able to get a text through asking about my bike they replied that they will know about it on march 22. So i wait and call again on March 22 no one picks up this time its switched off. I have tried sending a message to support but haven't heard back yet. Today is March 25 i went into the dealership one more time and found out they still have no idea where my bike is and i kindly asked for the number for the manufacture. I went home and called but soon found out that the bike is dealyed yet again but this time till May 15-21 which is quite absurd and i have been fuming at this all day but worse than that they told me that the bike was still in mark three black. This is the last straw and as you guys as owners can you relate or give me some advice regarding what to do?
i do appreciate any advice you may have to give.

If it would've been me, I would've cancelled the booking and booked from some other dealer. But then, I'm not so sure if you still have any patience left after all this.

Buddy I empathise with you. If you really need the bike then you will have to put up with the lacklustre attitude of the dealer. And wait for your bike to arrive.

In case you’re unhappy with the dealers attitude, I suggest you cancel the booking and make a new booking with another dealer but do keep in mind that the waiting period will further increase. I booked the INT 650 in February, dealer has promised end of July delivery.

You may write to the manufacturer about your ordeal and wait for their response (please expect delay and/or automated email responses).

Every new product from REs stable has a waiting period - from the Thunder Bird Twin Spark in 2008 to the Twins in 2019 - a minimum of 4-6 months.

You will need to make the decision - wait till May and get the bike. Or cancel the current booking, make a new one and wait till July/August.

      All the best!!!

Now I am having fun though, I really hope the fun stays the same. It is an awesome machine.
The dealer from whom I booked the bike is Lamba Enterprises, New Delhi.
I got it serviced from cruise motors Dwarka as per recommendation from one of my friends.
After the issue, I got my bike serviced from Lamba Enterprises itself.

Pardon my ignorance but once a vehicle is handed over to the customer wouldn't it be already registered on your name..? How the dealer is going to handle this..
Thank you for the wishes. Even I wondered how is it going to be managed. They cancelled the registration, and did the registration again. Even the insurance papers were cancelled and generated again for the new machine with updated details.
Should I be worrying about it? Actually it is something new to me so sometimes things seems to be fishy.
But as the registered chassis number and engine number was referred to when I took the bike for service, I was at ease.
I guess since I returned the same day within 15 min, they may not have yet started the RC processing. I was being told that it would be initiated and I will get a call from them after 2-3 days

Maybe the registration process wasn't being initiated yet as I returned back within 15 minutes.
They cancelled the insurance and gave me new papers for insurance again the next day. I called insurance company and they confirmed that the policy was cancelled.
They agreed that it existed for the new bike when I provided them with the policy number.

I will confirm the policy again today for a counter check

I really feel for you. It is a painful experience. I guess the high demand of RE models is making the dealers indifferent and sometimes arrogant these days. I had different issues with the dealer from whom I received my bike, but they always replied politely and never ignored a call or a text.

What are you considering? Cancelling or waiting. If I would have been at your place, my mind would have asked me to cancel and the heart would have said to wait with a written receipt for the desired color if possible

I feel bad for the experience you had with your dealer. I had a similar experience with my RE dealer when I made my booking on December 12, 2018. If this scenario helps you, I insist you follow the same.
When I paid the booking amount, the person who confirmed my booking entered all details wrong (Bike Colour, My name, Email ID ) except for my mobile number. Thankfully, I got a Booking Confirmation on my mobile.

When I noticed the discrepancies from the Booking confirmation paper the showroom provided, I directly took a screenshot of this and wrote an unsatisfactory email to RE Support. Unexpectedly, the response from RE and showroom was real quick. I got a call and reply for my email from RE and they assured that this issue will be resolved within 48 hrs. In the next 1 hr, the showroom manager called me and reconfirmed all my details (Bike Colour, Name and Email). He also apologized and recommended me to collect a new booking confirmation from the showroom. Since I could not immediately, I went to the showroom the following weekend, and he gave me a fresh Booking Confirmation with the same Booking ID.

Thankfully, the showroom manager got to be very nice in handling customers. I also got my bike delivered on 16/03/2019.

I recommend you to get your booking details corrected (get a new confirmation printed from the showroom) and wait for your bike. I am sure your bike is going to get delivered before May. Just a little more patience, that is what you need as of now.

Hope this helps! All the best in advance.

          Regards
          Sanjai Kumar

Did you write to [email protected] with the details ? They are normally quite responsive and will take this up. When I waited for my bullet a couple of years ago they helped me track my booking status, and the person in charge of deliveries (from RE side) in my area contacted me directly.

Is anyone here in favour of paint protection methods? I was willing for the same but was strongly discouraged by my friends. Detailing Devils gave a quote for Rs. 10k with 5 years warranty. Then I was being told by 3M guy to go for paint protection film instead of nano coatings.
Finally I settled with waxing on a Sunday afternoon after a thorough wash at home. Wondering if we have members in favour of ceramic coatings or paint protection films

Paint Protection Film by 3M will serve you better. Specially get it done for the Tank area. After this you don't have to worry for upto 5 years. Check Bulu Biker's video in YouTube he done that for his interceptor 650.

Thank you guys so much for your help i have decided to just wait for it since booking a new one will just take more time and more hassle but i can't seem to understand the very poor attitude towards customers even when you buy one of their most expensive motorcycles. I do also own a harley and never had any trouble in booking or anything else they were quite polite but i guess it varies from dealership to dealership.
anyway thank you for all your support and i will update you guys if anything else occurs.

                  Thank you.

So after a really long wait (no fault of RE/Jayshree motors they did offer me 2 more bikes before this, but since i was out of the country could not pick them) My orange crush interceptor was delivered to me on 25/3/19. The bike has turned out to be everything i hoped for, but fallen short on couple of points, so would like to know your opinion and suggestions on the same.

                      1. The seat is pretty un-comfortable for the pillion (seat too narrow and too soft), any seat modifications that might help, or is it better to go for a touring seat (in this case which one the interceptor one or the continental GT one).
                      2. Any solution for the exhaust pipes, has any one been able to install any type of heat shield on this
                      3. I was told by one of the mechanics in the workshop (gone to get the accessories fitted) never to fill up my tank as it might result in an air lock is this true, never had this problem with any of my other bikes.

The accessories that are currently installed on the bike are

                      1. Fly screen
                      2. Crash gaurd (chrome big)
                      3. Sump Gaurd/bash Plate (ZANA, could not find the RE one anywhere in Hyderabad)
                      4. Looking for a nice retro looking tank bag that can be fixed on a permanent basis (any suggestions for this will be very welcome)

I have ridden it for 5 km with a pillion. That's really a horrendous seat. Also foot pegs, for rider and pillion is a big issue. Especially for pillion it almost touched the exhaust. And that's the reason I am still holding on myself from getting this bike.
What are your thoughts so far on this? Any other major issue u encountered. How's the bike for a daily commute in City.

Strange, orange color is getting delivered faster than others. Situation is really sad with deliveries even the November booking are still pending. Above all there is no official channel to check the status.
I personally know 3 cases here in Delhi ncr where the owners got delivery on the same day in 1 in feb and 2 in March , whereas we are still playing the waiting game.

                            Hi Tarun,

Did not have any issues with the foot pegs, except when standing still, but i am sure this will be something we can get used to in a longer run. For the pillion i am looking for some options to get heat shield for the exhaust till that time I have asked my wife to sit a little carefully (she did burn her legs a bit during the first ride), will let you know if i find something. Personally i feel any vehicle above 300 to 350 cc is not good for commute at least in India (personal opinion) my daily commute is through Metro. But the couple of time i did take the bike to office i felt it heat up quite a bit (this might reduce post first service)
