Pretty easy - I ride it in Bangalore choked-up traffic on a daily basis and find no issues at all. With a pillion, the center of gravity shifts a bit and the extra braking power of a brand new bike is tough for the pillion rider; if you ask me the stock bike is better suited for a single rider (IMO), but a back-rest does wonders on that perspective. Have done 5k+ kms with more half in city traffic and I haven't had a problem at all. The lower gears are suited for city traffic too! Parking is pretty sorted too; I mostly use the side stand for short halts and the center stand generally is used only at my home parking spot.

For city riding, the Himalayan does fine; but Interceptor >> Himalayan. On offroad/rural roads, the Himalayan does much better.

Thanks man, that's very comprehensive. I had the Hima as a back up because while I love almost everything about the INT, the ergonomics are a little iffy. Now the Hima has been bumped off by the 390 Adv as the #2 on my list. INT is still #1, if the buggers tell me when it will be delivered I'll quit researching other bikes.

BTW your username sounds familiar, were you on bikeszone?

As for the windscreen, yes the tall RE windshield is absolutely useless on the highway. Planning to upgrade soon.
I had an experience where the Sump Guard saved the Oil Filter. I was riding on a highway around 80 kmph. The Front Tyre went over a pebble and the pebble was launched towards the air filter but Sump guard took the hit. I am sure in the absence of Sump Guard the pebble would have rocketed into the oil filter. I suggest using some rubber bushes to secure the Guard.

Abhinav is going all crazy with his interceptor, he has the money as well as the passion. That bike is one hell of a looker. Just wait till he finishes up with his bike and then we can all implement some of the modifications as well [emoji28]
                  Peace

Around 3 lakhs worth might be more in modifications. Someone might as well buy a higher segment Motorcycle. But you know when you have got money and passion to play with.

Well some people would rather buy a lower priced motorcycle and customise it according to their needs and some like a motorcycle with all the bells and whistles so that they don't need to customise it. I would do both, a customised motorcycle for city riding and an already loaded motorcycle for touring!

Haha no bro, i have already bleed myself dry buying the Conti GT! If the future has other plans maybe KTM launches the Adv 790 and i become the owner to use it as a strict touring motorcycle. [emoji28]

Sorry for going off topic mods.

The mods here are chill, you don't get moderator warnings for such small issues, (which are not even issues in the first place) , unlike some other forum. Customizing according to need and preference is the way to go

Booked the interceptor 650 Baker express. I used Pulsar 180 back in engineering and had to sell it because of college. I initially planned to get the dominar but seeing that most people in that forum are upgrading to interceptor I thought why not skip the dominar and buy the best bike currently available. Is the BS6 version supposed to have different power figures? The salesperson in RE showroom told me that nothing changes except a catalytic converter?
Also One thing I am searching for is a good leather jacket. Current riding gear tends towards the sporty side and I'm looking to buy something classic and simple. Any suggestions?
