    Hey guys,
    Now that I'm stuck at home I was watching some Youtube videos and it gave me some ideas regarding my new bike . My Baker Express has no coating on it and many people suggested getting ceramic coating done on the bike. What are good ones to go for? I heard a lot about Always dry on youtube, how costly would it be? and should I go for it?
    The second question is regarding helmet, the open faced helmets look great on Interceptor but are not good in case of head on crashes. Can you guys suggest me some matte finished good helmets? I'm willing to spend not more than 7k but it should go with the look of the bike. I'm staying in hyderabad if that helps.

      For helmet you can look for smk twister and and glide or something from MT.
      You will get Matt options on both brands.
      Smk also comes in matt white.
      Ceramic coating should be your choice and the person doing it should be a expert and using good product.
      Sometimes these coatings costs more than the price of a new tank. Look for warranty and maintenance package in coating.

        Ceramic coating only protects against minor scratches and swirl marks and The white colour of Baker Express doesn't show them, so no point in spending money on it, get a paint protection film, that's a better option.

        Getting a new tank or a repaint isn't that expensive option as well, i just use 3m wax regularly on my black coloured GT and all is good.

        Never use open face helmet, they are of no use, your face remains completely exposed and offer no proper protection, like [MENTION=89004]Ijs[/MENTION] said look at mt or other helmets at spartanprogear website

          It's been absolute FUN 13,500kms so far. Never thought I'd own a Royal Enfield but here I am thoroughly riding, owning and enjoying one every day.

          There is more than enough power for our roads. Loads of torque wherever you need it with just a twist of the throttle from that sweet engine. Even after almost a year she catches everyone's envious attention.

          So simple and classic design lines, yet makes a lasting impression everytime you see her.

          In 3 days it's my Red Queen's first anniversary and I was supposed to ride to Goa and be sipping Feni and exploring beaches..

          Haha

          But our Mother Earth has other plans and has sent us back to our homes and locked us to think about what we are doing to her by unleashing a pandemic.

          Hopefully Mother Earth will be kind and we will learn as a community and triumph over this challenging times.

            Metzeler Lasertec rear tyre (same stock spec) has been really good in all factors over the stock tyres over the last almost 4500 kms.

            It just takes a very small time to heat up. After that the grip is very sticky be it wet or dry. High speed stability and cornering has been great. I kinda feel it returns almost the same fuel economy on city rides and slightly better fuel economy on highways than stock.

            It also seems to have better longevity than stock Sportscomp too. Let's see how long they last. If it comes for another 10,000-15,000 kms I'd be happy.

                YouTuber "Deepak dream" had an issue with Interceptor RR unit; affected bike's ABS sensor and Engine malfunction light.The SC guys fixed for the first tome but didn’t

                last for 20 km. The second fixation took a month time,had to keep bike at the center, SC had to call Tech from Chennai and problem was solved . Since it was under

                warranty period they charged no service cost except Rs 800 for petrol, it seems they had to run the bike a lot to check what’s wrong with machine, that’s almost full

                tank, less than 300km, what kind of a service is that, that’s sound too cheap. Is it common among other manufacture or just RE?.

                  Excellent documentation on how to adjust valve clearance for the 650 series. Stu has a finesse for his explanation and in layman terms. Should come in handy for all the DIYers.

                        Hello all,
                        Regarding panniers, I have installed the Zana saddle stays and have been using a rynox saddle bag( thrown over the seat). But I have run into two problems,

                        1) As the exhaust is upswept, if I fill the bags to capacity then they almost touch the exhausts. This is a fire hazard and I have been looking for alternatives. Namely, as in the official accessories for the classic, the panniers are seperate and are directly mounted on to the frame/ mounting points for the said panniers, instead of hanging over like a thrownover saddle bag.

                        2) In this regard, is there any variant of panniers that would mount directly to the zana saddle stays?

                        3) If not are there other products that allow for mounted/bold on panniers?

                          Don't think any panniers can be mounted on zana frame. for this u need to make modifications to it.
                          You can ask zana guys for details if they have any panniers matching the frame.
                          Otherwise rynox nomad, bbg sports bike saddle bags are 2 which i know are made for upswept exhausts. Seen nomad on Interceptor and it didn't touch the exhaust.

                          There is one person who got full givi panniers (plastic ones) imported and fitted on Interceptor cost 42k+ and big in sizes.
                          You can also look for rynox expedition tail bag dirtsack gypsy, or the claw type bags without even saddle stays.

                              Hey guys made this small video on the IAT(Intake Air Temperature) sensor of our Motorcycle. IAT is a important part of fuel injected Motorcycles and cars. This is relevant to most FI Motorcycles.
                              Hopefully this helps someone who needs this Info.

                                Any recommendations for a good bike cover for the Twins? With the monsoon expected in about a month, and with my open parking setup, I'm looking to get a good cover for the bike.
