    Has anyone here gone for the stock IRCs - instead of Pirellis?
    I was wondering what a pair costs now.
    I am up for a chain\sprocket change, disk pad replacement and tyre change soon. (If Karnataka RTO does not catch me before that for riding a Mumbai registered bike).

    I have been searching/reading a lot for these options. My current setup is stock turn indicators and Xblaster LED taillight from Custom-LED.
    there are a a few mix n match things that you gotta do.
    1. LED taillight - works well on stock relay
    2. LED taillight + one set of LED indicators ( front or rear) - no wiring change. you need to put in LED flasher Relay or electronic relay as they say. Find it on ebay ( goes by the name URI)
    3. LED taillight + all 4 LED indicators - Wiring cut needed, where you'll need to put in a zero cut diode between the front and rear indicator wiring plus above given point 2.

    Not sure why the battery died, probably not due to LED turn signals.
    In a week or two I'm going to put up this relay and indicator stuff with pics on this thread. Though I wont go in for the all LED setup. Mine is an integrated tail light. so I'm going to setup the turn signals in taillight itself.

    I have two very good options for you, depends if you're willing to take them. For the front, buy a Brembo caliper. You would require an adjustment bracket to install it, but that's about it. The seller can provide you both. It'll cost you somewhere around 20k. For rear, buy used calipers from eBay. For the battery buy the ballistic EVO2 online. It comes with a charger and total cost would be just shy off 10k. This is including shipping and duty. The advantage is its less than 500gm in weight compared to your stock 2.8kg battery

    All these things together might be slightly above your budget but the difference is like day and night. Brembos are the best thing in brakes and ballistic is the best combination of performance and weight you can find.

    I was trying the rynox mobile holder but there is not enough space on the handle bar to accomodate that. not sure how the other guy went ahead with the fit.

    For the brake caliper, i think disassembling the whole lot and cleaning it out should be able to do the trick, under any other major component is rusted or gone bad. but i think you can individually order those alone instead of the whole assembly. Since the service centers mint money with these small issues, they tend to make a lot of money out of it.
    If you still want to go for complete replacement, look for the parts on aliexpress or ebay.com and order it. 19000 for what bajaj says is always on a very higher side.

    For the battery, you can go for a pulsar 200ns or Duke 200 which is a 12V 8Ah battery same as the ninja and would cost around 2600 only. The 13000 that the ASC say might be the original Yuasa battery, which is again on the higher side.

    I don't know much about electrical, I refrain from fiddle with them but from experience you can also check in the fuse box if any of the fuse went kaput

    My Ninjette is now 3 years old and has covered close to 24k kms!!

    Planning a slew of subtle performance upgrades...Will update here once i get those integrated!!

    Many have moved on to the Ninja 300 instead. But there is something about the sound of the 250 that the 300 just doesn't have. The loud whistling sound..!! Oh boy..!! That sure is awesome to hear.

    Thanks [MENTION=20551]vkuchhal[/MENTION]. Customization was a big reason why I opted for the Ninja instead of other bikes. In 2013, even I was bent upon switching to the KTMs because of the power the 390 offered. More than that,the level of customization available for an old model is incomparable to a that possible for a new one That's what had me stick with my Ninja.

    The mods I've done are pretty less to that done by some owners of Ninja 300. Although not of the same amount, but I wish I could slowly and gradually get all those mods I've been willing to do. And I'm glad mine is the last of the Ninja 250s in India, as it's a 2012 model that too in black. It's a rare sight

    Great going R-series.. i suppose you are the only one keeping this thread alive... may be because most of ninja owners have either sold the bike for a Duke or have graduated to a high CC bike.

    I recently completed 5 years on the old horse with not much riding these days, around 44k kms .

    First ride of over 15min after the upgrades.
    The bike definitely moves faster from left to right and vice verse. It almost feels it's off balance when you try to flick it. Naturally takes less effort to move it around while your on the bike. However, moving it while off it is a different story. Because the centre of gravity has increased it's slightly struggling to move it back and forth or from one place to another. Because of the increase in height I feel like leaning it more as I have more space to get off on right and left.
