Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
You'll always find a bike better than this one. Initially I felt bad that Kawasaki got the 300 in the market after I bought this. But now, I'm actually relieves that this bike definitely grabs less attention than the 300. So, I can consider myself safe.Originally posted by krish2778 View Post

Awesome..now i know whom to loot if at all i never get to buy a good bike..!!Originally posted by R-series View PostYep, you're right. Not used for daily commute. in fact my last two rides have only been testing
I don't take it to the mall or shopping areas. Don't park it in general parking. I only leave it if I have a closed parking for this bike. That's another reason why it's been ridden only 9000km in 3 years

Cheers

Yep, you're right. Not used for daily commute. in fact my last two rides have only been testingOriginally posted by krish2778 View PostSo the bike is not used as a daily road use purpose ? Keyless gas cap has a very high probability of being nicked when the bike is parked without any supervision.
But have to say that the keyless caps do look very clean and neat.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
I feel rear suspension is very stiff. Any issues if I put it to next softer setting?

Update on sprocket change(44T):
Immediate reaction after bike started moving was - what the hell, where's the extra teeth?
There is no immediate difference anyone would notice by increasing the teeth by one count. However, I after riding out of the apartments, on to the road, the bike responded. There is no extra torque (jerk) I felt but the bike pulled very easily. Felt it was maybe due to the less weight of the sprocket. But that could be psychological as well.
Up to 5k rpm. I just felt it was the same no difference at all. Started to get worried if one teeth was good enough. But the real difference came when I started pulling in gears. Shifted at 7k rpm and boy thrust after shifting was really impressive. That's when the difference felt like more than that of 1 teeth
. That lasted up to 5th gear only. Didn't shift to 6th while riding so hard. Traffic in Delhi doesn't permit that.
All in all, current response to the change is that the difference is noticeable at around 7000rpm or more. My objective to catch the top speed faster is still not tested. Will have to wait till I either hit the express way or the track.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Sure, I'm definitely expecting better acceleration. Specially since this is light weight and I've messed with sprockets before so I have an idea what to expect. Actually my 43T sprocket didn't produce that pull I required in 6th gear after 8-9k rpm. Hopefully, this should help achieving better top end on the back straight of the BIC.Originally posted by The Celebrity View PostDo update on the improvement of acceleration after you test run.
Also, please share your source of the green sprocket....
But will share more information this weekend.
I couldn't find a green sprocket anywhere, so I thought since this is a custom made by Motozone from Pune by Vikram, it could be done in green. But he said he can't do it in any other color apart from this one as it won't be that durable. And as Ninja owners you know we don't compromise with quality and reliability
Would keep a watch out for a green colored chain next time out.

Do update on the improvement of acceleration after you test run. :thumbup:Originally posted by R-series View Posthi guys,
I got my new rear sprocket. Mine has 43T, it's a 2012 model. I wanted more acceleration, moreover my bike lacked the pull in 6th gear after 8-9 rpm.
Haven't test ridden it yet, so can't comment on the feel. Tops speed figures will have to wait till I hit the track or any other open and safe road.
This one is a 44T and I was looking for a green color. But not one made it in green. I found gold, black, red, blue, etc from Vortex, Renthal, Driven and others, but no green. I might order a green colored chain later on when it requires replacement. My stock sprocket is still good, cos it's run only 9000kms only.
I've got new dog bones coming in this weekend to raise the height for more maneuverability for track days. Will share the experience after that installation.
