Hey everyone,
I have suddenly started feeling something wrong with my N250. 15000+ kms now. Last week, it started getting heated up, though I was not riding in traffic. But the temperature bar did not go into the red zone. But in the last three four days, I have started feeling the heat, which is abnormal.
Another issue is, yesterday, I felt the engine knocking in the first gear. That's the first time. It doesn't happen every time though. When I pull from a stand still in the first gear, it feels like knocking. No problem in any other gear. It doesn't stall either
Also, the lights seem to flicker(like in an AC circuit).

Got some modification done on Ninja 250r added a new double bubble windshield and front fairing exhaust grill

I do not think that 22k kms is the life for the rear shocker, until and unless you do too much of offroading, which i think you don't.Originally posted by Kos View Post
For service centers this is the perfect time to mint money out of your pocket. i would suggest ask one of your fellow N300 rider's to take a test ride and check for the difference. if the rear shock become bad , the rear part of the ninja sits lower compared to others if you keep them side by side.
I use the mrf for the front, though not as same as michelin but since i use mostly for street only not a problem. MRF should have a 140/70 17 for rear as it fits the R15 also .. try searching the shops.Originally posted by vinbex View Post

Hi all,
Am in for a tyre change on my Ninja. Some research has led me to finalize on two options
1. Michelin - Pilot street, which is a bit above my budget at the moment but offers the best
2.MRF REVz - fits my budget and need perfectly
But, the dilemma is, while Michelin offers 140-70/17 at the rear, which I think wouldn't be problem, MRF does not offer 140-70/17 in REVZ series (Zapper has 140-70/17), rather its 140-60/17.
The front is 110-70/17 though. That will not be good (110-70/17 in front and 140-60/17 rear)
I don't do track days. City and highway rides are what I am looking at.
Any suggestions?

The whitefield service center is near Hope Farm (about 2 kms from ITPL)
I use the Indiranagar svc as well. But these days I have to send a KA bike as pilot vehicle ahead.
Hopefully will give an update on the Whitefield svc in a few months.

I mainly use the 250 only for long rides and outstation trips
Have a 2004 Electra for going to office and short errands (In the process of paying the Karnataka tax)
I am due for an oil change and maybe a chain sprocket kit change in another 800 kms. Planning to visit the Marathalli KTM / Kawasaki service center
