    Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R

Took the bike to KTM seawoods and got the normal paid servicing done. Paid Rs.4000 for labour and parts.

The chain and sprockets have gone completely. From where can I get the sprocket + chain set for N250 in Thane/ Mumbai/ Navi Mumbai area? I am looking for low cost (7k to 8k) options. Please advise.

what are the symptoms/ indications that would lead to go for a vacuum sync?

    - unstable idle
    - lack of power
    - richness on one cylinder

    - happens if the throttle bodies were cleaned and air scre adjuster played around with without a syncying machine
    - happens if the vacume tubes from throttle bodies to idle up valve controler is broken cracked

need to see it or get more inputs to get you the reasons in more details
    Thanks Harish Bhai.

I will take the bike to KTM Seawoods, Vashi this Saturday for a routine servicing so wanted to check if the bike really needs Vacuum Sync. As of now, there are no power loss or unstable idling. The bike has clocked 65,500 KM as of now and everything looks OK.

What I heard is vacuum sync is less cumbersome to think about in FI version than in a carb version. More important stuff is valve clearance, cam chain tensioner etc. But it's always better to follow the service guidelines in manual which calls for major works on every 12k km's. I ride my friends bike and didn't find much difference after vacuum sync though I have never done that in mine.

What I need help is with the following things

    1. Any good front LED blinkers I can source ?
    2. I'm planning ongetting a CUSTOM LED electronic flasher relay ELFR-1 QD.. any idea on similar flasher relay from different make?
    3. I have the zero cut diode which is needed to sort the indicator flashing issue if all the 4 blinkers are LED. Stock relay will make all the indicators to stay ON.

Will replace the front blinkers with LED set and rear will be integrated within the tail light.

    Last quick question
I asked the Kawasaki guys if they can help me with this as there is no wire cutting or alteration involved but they polietly denied. So now I need a good mech to get this work done.
I tried opening the seat but ended up screwin up the bolts. So I gotta change those too now.

yes its the standard size because if its larger then again i will have to change the calipers and the assembly
quite a lot of work.. :P
but the xbhp review of the stock rotors are also good
Nice, so keep us posted on the progress. I'll be sourcing the 310mm rotor and calliper extension bracket from Japan. Since I'm very concerned about the duty, I'm actually waiting for a relative to come from Japan sometime in feb-March. I also got a very good option to upgrade rear brake rotor. But most sports riders don't use the rear brake so much and I'm no different .
