Is N 250R still supported by Kawasaki?
How about the spare parts availability?

This is the dust cap i have installedOriginally posted by rreneav1987 View PostThanks for the compliment [emoji6] it was my first time opening the 250! I have opened the 650 side fairings! I was a little scared as to what to do in case something breaks [emoji17]
I get it now! Thanks for the explanation!
Hope for the best! These rats can be a big scum! They bit my dads car wiring and its been a nightmare since then for the car!! But using some tobacco leaf helped! And if you stay in your own house, buy yourself a pet cat and the trouble is gone
No Videos brother! I was doing the work in 3rd basement and i was dying off due to suffocation! Thanks to my Ertiga, i got to sit inside the AC for sometime during the work in progress!
I used zip ties to tie the. Ballast outside the headlight assembly. If you are talking about the headlight bulb dust cap, i ordered a pair of dust caps before i started the work!

I get it now! Thanks for the explanation!I would guess the reason the indicators did not work is because LEDs primarily have polarity - and normal incandescent bulbs don't.
Indicator bulbs need to accept both your left and right indicator current. Since bulbs can accept current either way and LEDs only one way -it will work for only one side.

Have brought a rat repellent spray and will buy those glue boards when rains start.

You are a pretty hands on guyOriginally posted by rreneav1987 View PostI recently changed the Dashboard bulbs to white LED!
For some reason, the fuel reserve indicator and winker Indicator didnt seem to like LED so had to use the stock bulb!
Got these bulb from Ali express and these are called Push bulbs! Available in Karol Bagh for cheaper price [emoji51]
This is how the under the dashboard console looks
In the process, upgraded the headlight bulbs to LED as well
Will strip her once again some time soon to clean the silencer!

I recently changed the Dashboard bulbs to white LED!Originally posted by Mithungo View PostBad luck strikes!
My dashboard lights were not working and I was trying to source the bulbs from Australia.
But gave the bike for a service and tada! Rats have gnawed my wires.
The entire wiring harness is going to cost me 20000 bucks. Will have to find some workaround to the cut wires.
Any suggestions on how to avoid the rat problem?
I will order those glue traps soon.
P.S: The bill for this service came to 16k. Replaced my throttle cables, overhauled my front brakes and replaced the front fork seals.

Mithun

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Yup may be I can consider this as well. My friend bought one year old R3 a used bike. Old owner had put loads of extra fittings. Bike is really great to ride.
I will consider both to the equation.

Beneli tnt 300, if you really want a twin cylinder, like ninja.Originally posted by madonurway View PostYup now I have only 2 devil's in mind.
Dominor & duke 390.
Duke 390 is a lakh costlier than dominor but hold breath with its beauty in power & safety.
Dominor on the other hand a good VFM, all rounder with decent styling.
Which one do you vote for & why?
If you just want power, it has to be either dominar or duke.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
Also do consider new and modern equipment which are coming as standard with Dominar. i.e. ABS, Slipper Clutch. It doesn't make much sense to buy a way too old and discontinued model of Ninja in 2018.Originally posted by madonurway View PostThanks for your honest suggestions bro.
I agree with your point.
I will check other options in the price point.

Re: Kawasaki Ninja 250R
My suggestion would be, you would be better to stay off N250 for the following reasons.Originally posted by madonurway View PostHow much does it make sense to pay for 2010 model with 60k odo covered?
Can you let me know major points which I need to check in used ninja 250 which shows sign of reliability.
- This bike was discontinued in 2013 and was replaced with N300. This was replaced Throughout the world. Not just in india.
- Procuring parts for newly discontinued bike is something easy, however for a bike which was discontinued almost 5 years ago doesn't make any sense. No matter how good the bike is.
- Procuring parts for a completely discontinued bike is always expensive. Be it ebay or any online sellers. Because they know that you have no option and they charge a premium. You can maintain a N300 at this cost.
- Considering the age of the bikes, you might have to replace many parts (Tires, chain, TB cleaning, brakes maintainence, service) and other investments initially. These jobs costs a ton.
- You can buy a new 400 CC bike with the initial cost you would be paying for a N250 and stay happy with support from the brand during its warranty period.
Considering these, try to look for other options in my opinion. If you want only a Ninja, then look for Ninja 300. That could be easier to maintain.
