Look around for a sbk garage near your place, if you can't find one within a hundred kms, stay away from the bike. Bottom line, it's a bike, which is needs to be serviced well, and parts replaced if you have an accident. Kawasaki isn't providing spares in time to brand new ninja 650's, do you think they care a fig about discontinued vehicles?

The 250 may be the best quarter litre bike in the world, but what's the use if it's lying in the corner licking dust in a few years?

    Wow! that is bad news!
No such indication from Bangalore Kawasaki when I last went to service.

If it is a well maintained bike, it will be bulletproof. No worries.

How can Kawasaki do this yar it will badly impact company reputation. I work in T1 company & as per my knowledge OEM has to provide spares for already 10years after stopping production of any vehicles.
I know R&D guys working in Bajaj let me check if they have any idea about it.

Now Kawasaki doesn't have any link with BAL this may effect some of the things.

    What about reliability of engine?
Can anyone help me to buy 1 in Bangalore.

It is the same case in Bangalore as well. It is much cheaper to get OEM spares from US

Good to know at least we can get after market spares to keep ownership cost lower.

What do you think bro how much is the price I can pay for 2012 ninja 250 for a good condition bike.

Can anyone help me to find a good one here in Bangalore.

Last servicing of Engine oil/Oil filter/Replacement of brake pad burnt me Rs.11000, out of which 6000 was labour charges!!
    What the actual f... :O

I am actually from automobile background. I can do service on my own to keep away labour cost. But worry is spares. Can we get regular spares like oil/air filters, sprocket sets like regular consumables easily?

My wife is suggesting to buy a new dominor but I want to have some thing which provides experience of super bike
The problem with the Service Centre in Delhi is! They are reluctant to sell the spares at the counter! As in! If you want to buy the spares! You will need to get it fitted there only!

However, there are multiple after market brands selling spares at lower cost! Like the air filters/oil filters, chain sprockets, fork seals etc

How are you guys managing for spares?

Does it make sense to buy 250 or should i put some more money & buy 300.
No doubt one of the best bikes! Which is why i still own it even after buying a Ninja 650! The Ninja 250 is really fun and seductively beautiful!!

But the cost of ownership will be high!! Service centres are hardly available for Kawasaki! They rip off the customers in the name of Spares!

You wont go wrong with the decision of buying a Kawasaki! But do keep the cost of ownership in mind! The right side fairing of my N250 caught minor flame and when I asked how much it costs! They said it will cost me 2 night stay in Radisson Blu!!

Had my clutch cable break at 27000 kms.
The Kawasaki Dealer in Bangalore couldn't arrange a technician to come over (My place is approx 25 kms from the svc).

Finally went and bought the cable (Rs 1650) and had to replace it myself.

The svc seem to have a road side assistance program (3k for one year and 4.5 k for 2 years). Will most probably invest.

    Overall: Not so good experience.

    Regards,
    Mithun
