Read in a couple of threads that changing the engine oil can help in engine smoothness and gear shifts - if so, which oil, and again, approx cost?

Also list out your fav. mods and tips, I'm looking to modify the bike visually and for performance in future, really envy the range of customization that Enfield Bullet owners have access to (but not their reliability issues :P )
There are a few options regarding a few options. I have an RTR 180 and I presume it's pretty much the same for 160 as well. You can try Shell AX7 Semi Synthetic. I'm currently running on Motul 5100 15W50 semi synthetic oil. I'm pretty happy with it.

Finally brought the red beast - Apache 160 RD 2012

So after much thinking & testing both Apache & Dazzler, i have finally brought the new Apache 160 RD 2012 in Red yesterday from Century TVS, Pune & loved every bit of moment when i brought it home ( still haven't gone above 40 considering break-in/running of engine). As i am relatively new to bikes as i recently upgraded from a Scooty Pep to Apache , Would love to get tips & guidelines on how to maintain the bike till it reaches the 1000km mark and meet fellow Apachians from Pune.Thanx

Regarding the silencer, try to get the RTR FI's exhaust fitted for that sweet exhaust note

Its never going to effect your resale value as long as there is no such issues while selling your bike.

Ok fine mate and thank you.
