Ive heard dat a stock rtr does 70kmph in 2nd gear, 90kmph in 3rd gear....and it goes beyond 130kmph on 5th gear..(all speeds according to speedo).

Bt here are my bike's gear ratios,

    1st gear-34kmph
    2nd gear-60kmph
    3rd gear-80kmph
    4th gear-100kmph
5th gear-130kmph (its shows nothing beyond 130 and i have to be in an aerodynamic position to go evn beyond 120)

is there sum problem wid my bike???
There are lots of things which matter.
    1. tune up state: Lets not get into it and assume your and your friend's bike have same tune up state.
    2. Rider weight
    3. Road texture
    4. suspension setup

However, properly tuned RTR160 with good atmospheric conditions and nice road surface can do 120-125 kmph(speedo) with ease and cross 134 kmph if given some more time.

Also for your information, oversquare engines are very sensitive to above conditions. They need proper tune up to be maintained and regular retuning with seasonal changes for top notch performance.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

          • Specs are the same as that of the former apache 160...no changes...though i found the engine to be more smooth & vibes are reduced...though its just one week back i bought and the first service still not over, so still going in 50's...but some other owners claimed that the vibes have reduced a lot...and i too believe that because the engine smoothness i feel makes me feel they really worked a lot on it...also I heard that the tvs tyres(known for their lack of grip ) is also changed...they have come up with some new components...i heard that tvs has build a dual component tyre...i dont knw whether its that but if its that then its going to be awesome...& from my part i havent felt any niggles yet though i havn't tested the tyres to the limits...

YEs...there is something wrong with your Gear Shifing Tech ....! + Whenever ur riding RTR try to catch other ppl on corners...:d ......!
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

                      • ^^The P135 is one seriously fast bike (relatively speaking)! It even handles well.

Even on my R15, it could give me competition if I was a bit lazy revving the bike in every gear!
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

Since u were riding with pillion u could not catch. I (P150) was not able to catch it in solo riding but i was few foot steps behind at the time of starting.

                          • Since i got my bike i have filled the tank three times 8.5 LTRS , the first two times i got 44 KMPL avg. But i met with an accident after which i gave bike for servicing again ( i.e. after 1st service , during which i checked the spark plug which was brown including TIP) but when i checked for mileage third time i got only 38~39KMPL , I thought petrol bunk people have cheated and put less fuel , today when i was cleaning i just checked the plug again and i found it was dark black Have the SC guys changed the ratios without my knowledge or its because of choke starts (which i do everyday) If so Which screw should i turn to make it lean and in which direction ?
