Of course, I don't know much about resale value of Apache in market.. but this is a general calculation for reference.. the other way that dealers follow is deduct 1.5 rupee for every km the bike has done from ex-show room price.

It's a good deal @40k... very good deal if you can manage it @35K... presuming that bike doesn't have any problems. Consider it this way.. Apache cost around 60K ex-show room.. considering that it's 1 year old even if you take depreciation of 30% it will be around 42K.. so it's good deal @40K itself.. very good one @35K..Originally posted by Krish1417 View Post

I rode the bike and everything seemed fine to me..But there was some sound from the front portion after changing gears and giving it throttle..The guy is from afghanistan and he is somewhat rude and has attitude problem!!Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostIt's a good deal @40k... very good deal if you can manage it @35K... presuming that bike doesn't have any problems. It's a good idea to get it checked with a trusted mechanic of yours coz, those guys would be able to tell you if the bike has got any problems.Originally posted by Krish1417 View PostI rode the bike and everything seemed fine to me..But there was some sound from the front portion after changing gears and giving it throttle..The guy is from afghanistan and he is somewhat rude and has attitude problem!!Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

That might be due to improper gear engagement, caused by poor quality oil used. You will get decent RTR for 35k outside.Originally posted by Krish1417 View PostI rode the bike and everything seemed fine to me..But there was some sound from the front portion after changing gears and giving it throttle..The guy is from afghanistan and he is somewhat rude and has attitude problem!!Last edited by nox2505; 01-18-2011, 10:10 AM.There's lot to it other than saddle....

Mine knocks even without the pillion rider. My friend says that it is better to hold clutch when you are not giving throttle while riding. Is this advisable?RTR will knock with pillion if you're not giving ample amount of throttle in the first two gears.
It knocks even in first gear if you're gonna dump the clutch at 2000-2500 RPM and give it a full fisted treatment.
Nothing can be done, the engine lacks the grunt below 4000 RPM, the thing cannot pull comfortably with pillion in 4th from 3500-4000 RPM.
You have to downshift a gear or two to taste the cream of the power.

Shift gears at correct rpm and the knocking should not be present. Or maybe you are running too lean.कृपया यहाँ पर ज्ञान न बांटे

If its RTR Fi, it has lower torque than RTR carb below 5k mark on stock fuelling map. However, it knock only if you ride in 4th/5th at 2.5k rpm and give sudden throttle boost.Originally posted by social View PostNEVER.

In case of properly tuned RTR carb also, knocking shouldn't be the issue. There's lot to it other than saddle....

On the contrary, best mileage is achieved through full tank method, since there is least petrol loss due to evaporation!Originally posted by kantu View PostIs it possible to get better mileage if we run the bike in reserve mode always ? Because in reserve mode fuel supply is cut down a bit.

And it broke at how many kms ?Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostMine was a german one too
It will, if:Originally posted by pushkarb View PostMine knocks even without the pillion rider.
If you're not giving proper throttle inputs.
If you're at the wrong gear.
Dumping the clutch at 1500-2000 in first and twisting it.
Choke'd air filter.
Improper clutch play.

Nope. The system is there in some top end fi systems and really expensive carbs, where two fuel ducts run from tank to carb. But thats not true in case of our carb RTRs.There's lot to it other than saddle....

i know it sounds stupid
, but yesterday i forgot to put the knob in "On" position after filling it up at bunk , i noticed that there was a slight drop in acceleration i thought something had gone wrong , but noticed the knob position when i was parking it,as i usually turn it off, so i thought fuel will be saved if on reserve

does this really matter to turn the fuel knob to "off"..:0..?
fuel wont overflow accidently...i do it sumtimes..but forget to turn it on when start the next time...i am not used to it....
u really feel it makes a difference..?
