Its normal with disc brakes. the brake pads are continously in contact of disc. thats why it is so. neglect it.There's lot to it other than saddle....

Even i have my bike's(Victor) silencer was replaced along with the fuel tank because of rust factor. And that was in the year 2004, where a bike named 'Apache' not even existed.Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostPic of my old silencer which was changed due to rust issues.
TVS is quick in settling warranty issues as compared to other manufacturers. There are many who are as lucky as Satish's as they know how to deal with the situation and actually know which parts should be taken into consideration for warranty.I know many owners who have changed shock absorbers, electric starter unit and what not!!

Sorry, may not have seen your earlier posts, but did you escalate the issue? In my past experience, companies have interpreted warranties quite liberally... also there is something like goodwill warranty. You just gotta know how to take it to the right people. Then you may be able to get all kinds of stuff changed...Originally posted by julianpaul View Posti had posted earlier with an excerpt from the warranty section of the manual: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/198856-post2293.html It explicitly states electrical wiring is not covered. but from a few conversations i had with various service centre managers, it appears warranty can be interpreted differently as per their convenience. and even technically the warranty as printed in the manual can be challenged by either party. for eg. an led tailight isn't a bulb. but then it is an electrical item and it is made of plastic, both of which would not be covered even if the bulb clause is not taken into consideration.
my point with this rant is that i specifically bought a showroom new bike because i wanted warranty cover and service. both of which i'm not getting even for minor issues. i shudder to think what would happen if my bike had all those choking and missing and backfiring issues. i'm 100% sure that all three svc centres nearest to my location would not propery resolve them.
we're not all Satishs ...
Damn ! i didn't know that
And I'v found TVS good in that respect. I had gotten LOTS of parts changed in my Shogun... In fact they were ready to change whatever I wanted changed. But that was years ago... don't know if they are still that customer centric now.
