  • Although TVS upper bodies are fair enough to solve whatever the problems are. Just get in touch with these managers in future and try making good rapport with them, even one of the managers came to my sister's wedding also.

              • Petronas sprinta rocks !

done 100Kms on Petronas sprinta 5000 and it seems to be an excellent VFM oil . has smoothened the bike and even vibes feel a little less especially at higher RPMs .gears have become soft and little less clunky . since it is 10w40 cold start is also easy and engine doesnt need lot of warm up . i bought the oil that was from a very very old stock and im sure newer one is even better.
RTR owners do try this oil instead of TVS Tru/Castrol

                • 18000 km service: what to do?

Hi, my 1 1/2 yr old rtr has the 18k service coming up. Now, unless specifically told to, the SVC mechanic will just wash the bike, do an oil change (hopefully) and return the bike at 7 pm in the evening (by which time you are tired, and not in the mood to check/ discuss with them).
The manual says engine decarbonising at 18k. Is it necessary? Is it a good idea to let them open the engine head? I run with Shell petrol; getting mileage of 58-60 (i don't see much traffic on my daily office run).
Anything else i should tell them to do/ check?

                    @Puneet1,

Please consolidate the escalation email addresses (discussed in the past 2 days and the ones given by Aparajith earlier and if Kauria has mentioned some) mentioned here and add them to your first post in this thread.

Once you post it, Let us see who has the first post in RTR 180 thread too.

Seriously - If you don't have any problem with your bike and if you are getting that mileage you mentioned, just don't touch it for what ever recommended task. Be happy that the svc center guys don't do anything but washing and changing the engine oil. May be you should mention to them not to do anything other than change oil, wash bike, make an entry for service in the manual.

                    Which service center BTW?

                    • @TorQ: To be frank am not surprised at the gesture by TVS. Their upper management has always been this good. Even I was offered temporary vehicles and stuff. And problems were solved ASAP. Good job TVS!!

                      • @torQ , its good that your problem got resolved.

Even i had some problem's in my FI.. and service engineers took the bike and did the required work, now i dont get that prob at all (had engine stalling and RPM reduction problem) .

even this weekend i gave my bike for 3 rd service. when i took my bike on sunday even, the bike's acceleration was hillarous, if i just twist the throttle the rpm goes till 7000 rpm and stays there put..

i shouted at the service centre guy as they had my bike for two days and did nothing. indeed the bike was good before i gave it for service.

THen i spoke to TVS service manager and told him about this issue, he called up the service centre guys and blasted them. I got my bike deleiverred to my home by the service centre guys itself. and now the accelerator is even smoother .

really the top people in TVS show come commitment. It's only the Service centre people who spoil the party

                          • problems problems problems

Hey guys tell me what to do ?? My bike is going sluggish day by day, whereas I am taking a good care of it. It felt like someone is just pulling it from behind. RPMs are very hard to build and bike starts screaming from as low as 3k rpm. Top-speed is also decreasing day by day like 118-115-111 and today just 105 after a lot of efforts. Guys at SC are just two less qualified and less trained mechanics.

I don't have time because of my busy schedule but I gave a lot of time to those guys to make my front brake working but they failed each time. Even once they spoiled my front mudguard (with brake fluid) which they still didn't replaced. Even my relationship with those guys is good but they are not capable humans (I think) but they thinks they are the Ferrari engineers. As I told you earlier my Techo was giving me problems, they didn't work on that and even didn't replace that until I found the fault on my own. The problem was in wiring and to repair that (when I told them the fault) they opened the headlight dome and now its vibrating.

Guyzz plz help me in finding out what are the things because of which I am having these problems (brake, top speed and hard to build rpms) and what should I have to tell them so that they will able to get my bike in to shape (I will not say again because I don't think that it was in shape ever). You will be amaze by hearing that "I never found the RTR punch in by bike which you all are talking about" and I was always convincing myself by thinking that "its a 160 not a liter class superbike". Front brake is very weak and lever play is inconsistent.

Dude, It once happened to me. My top end got decreased and pulling was not that much after 60kmph. I checked with the mechanic in SVC and he also came with me for the ride. The culprit in my case was fuel filter. He said the fuel filter needs to be changed every 8000km, mine was 7100 at that time. He changed the fuel filter under warranty. After changing the fuel filter the throttle was crisp and without much effort it reached 100kmph, Do check your fuel filter..

Hey thanks buddy . I have done 8900 kms in 4 months. I just don't know what you guyz call a CRISP THROTTLE. Mine was just a normal bike from start. But yes I will just check the fuel filter as I will get some time to go to SC. I just need my bike to run fast and scream less (I think not so big expectations).
