    LOL!!

Never ever changed it. 81000 kms now. So nothing much to worry then, right? My engine is not ACTUALLY heating up. I sensed some sensor has gone kaput when after keeping the bike idle for 2-3 minutes in Delhi winter, it started blinking as soon as I revved the bike!! It was close to 16 Degrees then!!

Confirm if you are getting engine over heat or low engine oil indication on the console?

To the owners of the rarest species....
Hello brothers. Hope all of you are doing good. I need one help. I haven't been riding my bike lately. My last major trip was in Aug to Dharamsala which was a 1200 kms round trip. After that trip I had put my bike to rest. Would just turn the engine on occasionally to keep the parts running
On last Monday, I decided to ride my bike after a very long time. It rode pretty well except that the chocked Air Filter indicator light up. Hadn't clean the air filter after the trip. After riding few kms, the engine heat-up sensor started blinking. I thought it was probably because of low Engine Oil. I did a top up. Today morning at 7:15 am I started the bike and kept it on idle for 2 minutes and then revved the engine and the engine heat-up sensor again started blinking. I took my bike to the Suman Bajaj, Noida PBK and ask them to give my bike a thorough wash and look into the issue. My bike's air filter was cleaned and CO setting was done. The technician told me that Engine Oil was low but when I checked in the morning after the whole night cool off, the oil was visible upto the half mark inside the oil indicator window. Now, after the quick clean up and Co setting the Engine heat-up sensor is blinking at higher RMPs only. In 2nd and 3rd gear around 3000-5000 rpm mark and at 5th gear only after I cross the 7000 rpm mark.
Anybody here who can give some idea??

Crash bar even I had mine replaced left, costed some 250 bucks per piece and never changed indicator so that's another 150 something.

    Cheers!

But you need not change assembly and stuff, it just takes a little adjustment, which can be done at the PBK itself.

The mech are not technically sound (neitheriam) as all the good ones are now shifted ktm service.
Facing head light ficus prob on a closer inspection found tat projecter are tilted towards left and no improvements in adjusting the focus .should I change the full assembly ? Its real pain to ride in night .like if i am near a toll booth my both beams will focus on the rate board on the left instead of road .

Lot more things are need to be replaced on my bike. 5 year old bike clocked 40k kms.
I am afraid of managing huge amount of money that i have to spend on my bike.
On the list are rear shock absorbers, leg guard, chain sprocket and seats.
    my queries
shock absorbers: do we have any other option other than the one's which comes in new model on pulsar 220? comfort is all i need.
how good are new p220 shock absorbers compared to FI one's?
seats:shall i go for new or fabricate old one. New one's are too costly!.
After ageing what major problem will i be facing on my bike?
    Thank you in advance.
The 220s shockers like most commuter bikes are on the softer setup, though a harder setup might give you good control, softer means it's more flexible, and that's the aspect I love on the 220. Suspension is really fluid. IIRC they both are identical to each other, as the paint work is all that's revised to an all black scheme, so I don't think you'd fine more flexible options this side.

On the seats, only if they are hard go for a replacment, you can consider gel seats, which provide good comfort, or replace the foam inside the seats, which can be done outside in any reputed seat shop or you'll have to change the seat altogether. But this is only if the seats are bad.

After ageing? A bike never gets old, if the parts are replaced at the right time, I always say. But just make sure your engine is always in top notch, as it's a Pulsar you never know what might pop up, rest all is basic.

As they always say, don't fix it, if it ain't broke.

    Cheers!

    WORST NIGHTMARE HAPPENED
The mech removed the rider seat and started cutting wires and was saying to other one LETS GIVE DIRECT CONNECTION .
The bike was given back to me with an order to change it into carb version immediately ,and when i told them that i will change after 1.5 years they started laughing at me.

The first 100km after that incident was quite shocking.fuel pump was erking and idle was at 1.8k rpm.
After that bike became so good because of cleaned fuel lines and highway runs are now a breeze .
Now at 36000km everything is fine but the fear of a breakdown due to electrical problem haunts me.
