So switched to Honda Throttle and draining at every 3~4K from now on. Odo shows 8000K
Crossed 14K today and running on same oil for last 6K km. Oil and engine sounds fine and every time i shows my Mechanic if a oil change is due !!
he says 1K more.. Ha Ha
but i am thinking to change in next few hundred Km irrespective of oil condition. btw 95% of time it runs on highway very little city driving.

Thanks dude This is same picture in my DY manual as well and the clearance settings are also the same. I dont know if the noise Im hearing is because of tappets or not But the mileage is surely one reason for me to check it and the manual suggests that this needs to be done in every service (around 4K Kms ??) Sibun had also suggested this to be checked once. I also see some oil leakage near the head so time to set everything right once

BTW I bought my twister in Dec'11 so I suppose its 2011 model, the new white one which came out at that time only. I've done 24K on the odo. I'll get the bike repaired properly and fit some missing parts here and there. How much money I should ask for it?
Reason I don't like this bike is, I'm 5'11" and on the heavier side, it looks so puny when I ride it. And I'm just a student so I can't get new bike that easily. But I'm going to Jaipur for college and I won't need a bike there so I was thinking to sell it and save some money and get a new bike next year because bikes are not allowed for freshmen in the college.
First get your bike repaired and get it insured, at what price you purchased your motorcycle in 2011, plus i fell you won't be able to ask to much amount for this bike as the second hand market for this motorcycle is almost nill.

So I'd just do some modifications ans use the bike for 1-2 years.

PS: Too bad, I didn't had insurance on bike.

Why do you want to modify the bike just get your bike repaired to the stock look that will be more sensible plus whenever you want to sell it in future you can ask for decent amount of money.

The handle is bent beyond imagination, headlight is nowhere to be seen, foot pegs are bent too, front forks or the wheel has bents too I guess because the wheel is not in centre. Front brake lever has done its time and there are scratches all over the bike.
I wanted to get a new bike after getting my twister repaired and sold but my parents don't want me to get a new bike. And I guess its nice time to get started with some modification work!

Please suggest me what can be done to give this bike a heavier look and feel and what modifications can be done?
Also I want to get a mono shock setup done, is there any possibility?

    Thanks in advance!

Most of the times ASS mechanics have no idea what the actual problem is , they just want to make money and hence they give idiotic advice for treating a problem.
