The Green wire is your signal wire.
It is connected to the negative of the coil, (coil is the part which has a wire coming out of it then going to the spark plug , the part before spark plug)

But check with the seller and description,while buying online. Some of the tacos have different wiring.

You can see the wiring in the following image.


If you have bought taco, post an image of it.

I got it, but the bold underneath is too tight. Any idea on loosening it. my spanner/ ring spanner are sliding off.

Or should i get it loose from a garage.

There is a bolt underneath... Open it to drain the oil .. Do all this on double stand and u can also slow kick your bike to completly drain the oil and do remember to rebold before [emoji28] refilling it..

I want to change engine oil for the twister,
Where is its oil drain plug ?

As per the manual this is where the drain screw is, i dont see any drain plug on my bike there.



Is it the screw on the bottom side of the engine , i see 1 screw there .

no its not carb, fuel filter is a different part. its on the fuel line coming from fuel tank below fuel on/off cock.

spare parts list you will find at honda spare parts counter, contact manager or someone at counter and request him for same. you can click photos of each page with your cell phone camera. I would suggest you to stick with stock chain and sprocket, and change it as soon as possible because new chain/sprocket set will give instant boost to pickup and mileage. a clean and well oiled chain is best thing you can do for good pick up along with maintaining good tyre pressure. spark plug better to change after 15k along with air filter. now there are many new multinational brands come up with bike tyres. also consider cleaning of fuel filter and putting new oil filter.

Hey people,

My Twister's 6th birthday is coming up and I want to begin some minor restoration/maintenance on the bike. By Feb 4th, I want the bike to be showroom ready - performance and looks wise. I was wondering if someone had a spare parts price list for the twister. I have a few things jotted down for change right now -

1. Chain Sprocket change - I had gotten the chain sprockets changed about 13k km back, but they've worn out very soon again due to neglect in lubrication. Has anyone tried a different chain sprocket set up from the stock set up? I wish to improve the low end acceleration as I don't take the bike past 60kmph even on open roads. I use the bike for off roading these days, so the torque down low will help.
2. My speedometer has stopped working, so I need a change in the cable.
3. Front and rear brake shoes have worn out - my twister is a drum brake variant. I wish to get a disk brake up front.
4. New spark plug - never been changed for the at least 30k km.
5. New headlight bulb with better brightness - I'm still running the stock bulb on the bike. I think it has worn out because I'm getting almost no illumination on the road. Since it is due for change, I figured I'd get a brighter bulb for the same power rating. Any inputs?
6. Full detailing from a professional - Rs.3250. I am going to get it done by the guys at Reflecton in Bangalore. If anybody has better detailers to suggest, please do.
7. New alloys - Now, since I've been off roading, two things have happened - a lot of punctures and air leaking crazily from both tyres. I think both my alloys have been damaged. I want to replace them with new ones, but I am also considering getting spoke wheels for my bike. I want a disk brake in the front, so I was looking at the hero impulse's front and rear wheels. I don't know if they'll be a direct fit on the bike yet, but the front wheel on the impulse is a 19 inch wheel. This will definitely mess with the bike. What do you guys think? Has anyone got spoke wheels on your twister?
8. New front tyre - the front tyre is all but ready to die. Cracks have appeared on the side walls. I had the read replaced some 5k km earlier with the stock TVS tyre. Any suggestions for the front?

I also want to get a taller handlebar with a crossbar - the hero passion pro TR's handlebar ought to be a direct fit, but it's more or less the same size as the twister's handlebar. Any inputs welcome.

Hi Guys, This is Rohan and a proud owner of Twister for more than 4 years. I must say it turned out to be value for money and even today FE returned from my bike is in between 62-65Km per litre. Bike is easy to maintain, but sadly it is parked now in my parking space as I have upgraded to very large CC bike as compared to Twister .
I take it out for a spin and every time I sit on the saddle it brings a slight smile on my face and brings back all good memories in terms of mileage and easy on pockets. Sorry I am new to xBHP and was going through the threads, so dropped by.

How long been it ridden and how old ? few things to check in every 2 years : Carburetor flush and clean, and Valve clearance. Along with spark plug, Air filter and obviously a regular oil change, which if you neglected all of the above would be null and void in effect. City riding would result in 60~65 kmpl. Fuel average depends on so many small factors that it demands a proper maintenance all the time. In my case a valve clearance does in fact helped me maintain my average at 25K odo.

Ah i liked that classic and nice color combo on that bike. Good luck on new wheeler. Its a new engine should feel punchier. The former of course lost one or two horses from its harness.

The Twister is still rocking. Just a bit drop in fuel economy around 50-55kmpl.

Bought a CD110 delux today. Feels more powerful than twister while driving.

But it is the most reliable machine I owned. I also have a 200NS and classic 350. Both of them, I do not trust on a long ride..As I already had carburettor problems with pulsar in first 5000 kms of it's service life. 350 was plagued with battery problems and starting issues. Twister, I could take to Himalayas...never failed on me once except for a punctured tyre.

4000 km drain interval is not that bad unless ridden harshly altogether (ideal is 2.5 to 3k km), air filter should have changed more frequently, at most every 20k min 8k km, Chain sprocket every 30Km if lubed or when broke off if unlubed. (don't ride till it breaks)

Battery lasts 4 to 5 years if did not discharged frequently. Spark plug minimum change interval 12 km to max 40k km. your air filter along with spark plug change could have saved some more mile but nonetheless the machine served it purpose (You rode for 100K km) . For engine overhaul as its consuming oil now : check oil level frequently (every two weeks) till you rebuild it. if ride frequently on low engine oil level the motor will be damaged permanently (bearings and stuffs). If everything else is ok you need a overhaul including piston and bore kit (valve, timing chain, clutch plate etc). all would comes round to 5 to 6K INR (approximately).
