Yes thats what i decided. I left the bike in asc.... let them check ... if they tell me to pay 18000 rs cost of entire engine.....i will get my bike back.... give it to local mech shop. If that doesnt change anything. Engine parts not available. I will ride it as long as it goes. Bike pick up and mileage is also good. 60 to 65 kmple....I dont know why these people claim ridiculous prices.

I will never recommend honda to anyone . After sales service worst. non availabilty of part is still a problem.even local mechanics fear to touch honda bikes.Last edited by fybercyber; 02-18-2016, 03:48 PM.

A Honda should not give engine problems so early. My advice would be to take second opinion. Go to another authorized service center and get it checked properly.
Else if you know some trusted mechanic let him have a look and then take an informed decision.
It is well known that Authorized service centers would recommend to replace a part completely rather than repairing it. Less time less Labor, so make sure that the problem is diagnosed correctly before opting for any part replacement.

Finally i got engine problem.... hearing clattering sound. Without checking they claimed piston problem blah blah blah....quoted 5000 rs advance 18000 rs. Phew..... what do i do now. Bike is 5yrs old...... ran 24000 kms.

Michelin has just launched New puncture resistance tubeless tyres this 2016. suitable for all commuter bikes of 100cc-125cc.
Michelin "City Pro tyres" looks like a better alternative then stock MRF and TVs tyres. available in size 2.75-1741P TL front and 3.00-1750P TL rear. also they are very cheap. what you guys think?

Yes dude, Livo is HET model engine.. and looks cool too, with chainguard. 1. The carburettor jets should be clean. If they are blocked then you will not be able to tune carb no matter what.
2. Air filter should be clean. Today manufacturers are giving viscous air filter which gets dirty easily and can't be cleaned. So ensure air filter is clean.
3. Spark plug is correct and not sorted. It must be giving strong and hard spark.
OK now coming to actual tuning.
1. Engine should be sufficiently warm and idling smoothly. Ride for 5-6 kms and get the engine warm.
2. Shut the engine. Now tighten the air screw slowly till it seats lightly on the end. Now back out and open 1.5 turns by counting .
3. Now start the bike. Increase idle by idle screw. Increase to 2.5k rpm or more just by hearing. No hard and fast rule.
4. Now slightly open the air screw, slowly 1/16 th of a turn at a time. You will see the idling increase.
5. At a point bike idle will be highest. From that if you move the air screw any direction, the idle will decrease. This is the perfect position.
6. Now decrease the idle to 1100 rpm just by feel. Bike strokes should be smooth and idle speed will be slow. That is the best idling speed.
And last but not least if any problem, get everything ready and call me. I will guide you by hearing the sound.

I have seen that only you have been able to get the brown plug in the whole of the cb twister forum i too have a 1.5 years old twister if you can explain the process in detail on tuning the carburetor (in the forum off course ) because i am not able to find the spot where the air fuel mixture is perfect are the turns different on different on different twisters
also when i had taken my bike to a local mechanic who adjusted the valve clearance and also rpm by a digital tachometer to 1500 saying its better than 1400 (he also has a twister ) but the bike wasn't giving good FE i told this to him he told that my bike's valves are damaged and i have to change them quoting the cost of valves rs 1500 i didn't believe him since it was a year back and my bike was new i also told him about the extended warranty on my bike which i have taken which would cover the valves or any manufacturing defect he told me the ASC guys would not change them so i thought the mech just wants to loot money and i stopped going to him
do you think the valves could be culprit here
please answer as this will also help others
