What other petrol pump are you going to? Mostly Company Operated Company Owned petrol pumps have same quality of petrol as Shell so there is no reason your bike should do this unless you are filling bad adulterated petrol from some bad petrol pump. Are you sure this is not your confirmation bias since people keep saying Shell Petrol is good and all?

Personally of you give me choice of COCO pump / Shell pump I will still go to Shell :P

I am sorry to say but you are being royally fleeced my friend. The particular service center you go to seems to be full of crooks. If you cannot see any white smoke then there is no white smoke simple as that. If your bike is running good then that\'s enough.

Service center people cannot change spare parts without taking permission from you. Ideally they should give you a call asking whether to change anything or not.

I will say, go to service center with your old bill and new bill - tell them same spare part was changed, both times without your permission and raise a ruckus. Ask for full money back simple... Tell them whatever is the case whether there is carbon build up no build up smoke no smoke you did not authorize the spare part change so you want money back.

Truth be told there is little you can do now because you already paid the money. At most service center will give you a free wash coupon that\'s all. And say sorry. That is if you raise a ruckus loud enough. Preferably in local language or impeccable English. They will say that because carbon build up they had to change and all and you will have to say that ok fine open up the engine in front of me and if I do not fine carbon then I want all money back.

By the way carbon build up story is bullshit. Generally for honda engines there is no significant carbon build up even till 60-70000 kms. That too if the engine is always run below 5000 rpms. Occasional hot engone red lining actually burns up the carbon in the engine.

Sending in a simple email complaint to Honda Customer Care is not going to help. At most you will have to email to area manager. They may not take you seriously unless you word your email properly.

Honda Dazzler - Technical Advice needed

    Hi all,
I own a Honda Dazzler 4 years old completed 30k km. I need help from someone on understanding something Honda Service Center guys said to me.

I am doing most of my bike services in Honda service center. My last outside(local mechanic) service was 2.5 years ago.

I have done my last service in Nov 8, 2014. At that time bike was not serviced for nearly 4 months. During job card opening, the executive who attended me said that there is white smoke coming from exhaust (i didn\'t notice much) while hard reviving. And engine needs overhauling which might cost around 20k. I didn\'t approve that and had normal service. In that service they have changed air filter and spark plug.

Today(Jan 10) i did service again. I have completed just 1100km in this period (I know, i could have waited 1 more month for giving service. But I gave, because of some issues in brake light and front brake). To my surprise. they have changed air filter and spark plug this time also. I have asked reason for this to customer care maanger. After discussing with service manager and technicians, she said that at 25k completion, head valve in my bike engine needed to cleared. Since I have missed that, black smoke is coming from exhaust (god knows what black smoke). This smoke damaged my air filter and spark plug. They also said that If i have doubt on that I could ask any other mechanic and they would say same.

can someone tell me if it is possible what they says. If not, what do you suggest my next action? Do you think putting a formal complaint in honda customer care would help me somehow?

No screeching or skidding i tried to brake hard a couple of times, the brake bites much better than stock , the stock front brakes were very bad in my bike this feels good

Disc looks massive . How is the braking now? Does your front tyre skid/screach when you break hard?

I have done 55K+ kms & still running on stock chain sprocket.
I have reached the last chain setting(as per the marking on swingarm) @54k. on odo. I never allow the chain to run dry.

Initially I used to clean the chain first with either diesel or WD40 & then wash it with vim liquid+water. After this lube it with OKS chain lube. This routine was followed at every 1K kms.
But now a days I only spray Zorrik88 which cleans & lubricates the chain simultaneously. I need to use it at every 500kms which ensures that the chain never runs dry.
Now I am not worried about 'O' rings & all as I have covered more than enough kms on a single set of chain-sprocket & happy to get those replaced soon.

Sent from my phone. Kindly avoid it while riding.
till ~15 -16K Kms I used to clean it with diesel and lube with Motul chain spray at the interval of 1K Kms.
But service center guys would always use burnt engine oil to lube it. (even after directing them to not do that),
After that I didnt ride my bike regularly (would be unused for months), but did regular servicing (some times bike came out only for servicing :P)
So it was at the mercy of Honda SVC after that.

I also feel, since there is no chain cover it also contributes to more wear. (specially in rainy season)

Odo reading is 21270 Km.Till now I have not changed my bike's chain.
Number of kms don't matter. There is a marking on the swingarm which shows how much of a chain's adjustment is left.
