    Re: Honda Unicorn Dazzler

I have been using my dazzler over 3.5yrs and its going good . I recently got the pressure volves changed 3 months back since I am facing starting problems. During Cold start and hot start. I still have the issues with bike for it.

Then after these got changed, I realized that the engine is forming a residue over it. Its been there from some time. is the engine oil leaking? or what problem is it.
Also the machine made about 33k Km. I am steadily getting a mileage of 55 to 60kmpl. When should i Change my tyres.

^^ adjust clutch lever free play. Even if its within limit you can still adjust it and see if problem persists.

I don't know, but in Delhi you can get parts over counter. (That's at service center)
but mostly they are unavailable (so arranged it from two ASS)

even I had to struggle for that.

I inquired about parts to dealer and he said "its not available, we will request and arrange it for you by next week"

so I inquired on phone every week, It didn't help, they even stopped entertaining me on phone.

finally after 3 weeks I visited SVC again, and the first question they asked me was.. "Have you requested any part and payed in advance",

I was stumped, how could I if you don't tell me the procedure then itself.

I paid good 1K (as they were not sure of the cost) as advance (got a payment slip), then collected the part after two weeks.

That part (meter cover) cost was only in order of some ~INR250, got rest of ~750 back with part on showing that advance receipt.

I echo plasmabhai's words. I'm running on 120 vyde currently and did 7k so far. No issues with fitting.

Few ASS supply spares over the counter and few do not. In Chennai for example, KUN honda at Adyar supplies spares over the counter.

My front cowl was similarly damaged. I wet sanded the damaged side of the panel by 1500 grit sand paper so that it was as smooth as possible. Then applied a matt black vinyl sticker over the complete damaged side from a road side sticker shop. Looks like stock, the sticker is difficult to make out even on close inspection - and total hit to the wallet? Rs.20/- :P

Thank you for the pictures of the parts.I tried opening the assembly but could not figure out how to remove the front cowl the metallic painted part I tried pulling moving it around but could not remove it.

It would be really great if you could try to write down how you did it

I removed all the screws but still was not able to remove it

    Let me try my bit

The center cowl has two plastic pins which holds the meter cover shown below.

The meter cover slides into those pins (at the red marked area), there are also rubber rings/dampeners inside the marked cavities.
also the cover head (the component which surrounds the entire console parameter) can also be detached from meter cover (after removing screws from the area marked in blue in above and below images)

So to remove the meter cover you need to first remove the screws from green marked area, and then (the hard part comes) pull the meter cover in such a way that you dont break anything. (its easy to slide in again)

For the glossy part you are referring you can see the inside structure below:

The portion connecting the 1st screw from the LHS in the picture actually slides inside the casing, but the screw is visible from the outside.

Instead I would say disconnect all the wiring and remove the headlight assembly (detach it from bike) and then remove the parts individually. Removing all the screws and stretching the entire mold might remove it easily . This way you can open screws present inside and easily remove any other attached part. This may also reduce any chance of accidentally breaking any lock or screw holder.

    hope it helps.
