  • Bad about the moto2 title...,

Misano circuit to be after simoncelli...

    • One of the tweets says that Iannone is considered to take up Sic's place in Gresini team.

      • Well, if Iannone does take his place; I would say its a well deserved one.

Capirex's last race; the end of an era certainly. 317 Grand Prix starts isn't a small deal!

Looks like Rossi's wish might just come true; more heavy rains and the GP11s will be singing.
RIP Marco Simoncelli! You will not be forgotten!

        • Lets also be a little patriotic and remember the Mahindras Marcel Scrottler 5th and Danny Webb 9th. Not bad for the first year. Even though its the last season of the year and in the wet.

And it will be good to see Iannone in Motogp. The most apt replacement for Super Sic.

          • ^Hats off to Mahindra. They are doing a fantastic job! Couple of years straight and they should be fighting for podiums

Say, will Alvaro Bautista do a Chris Vermeulen?

Paul Bird at the Paddock; rumors of a CRT now abuzz.

            • Courtesy GPone.com - News Motomondiale - MotoGP, Moto2, 125, Superbike

"Series organizers Dorna have heeded the request made by Paolo Simoncelli, and instead of a moment of silence on Sunday, there will be a minute of total noise, with every engine in the paddock (from all three classes) being revved simultaneously. The special tribute will likely happen after the MotoGP warm up session, and there might be fireworks at the conclusion as well.
Meanwhile, Team Gresini erected their garages this afternoon, including the one belonging to Simoncelli. His mechanics have put his bike together, as they always do, and left it on display for the fans to appreciate. It will also be her last time wearing the number 58."

Great to know its actually going to happen.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

              • Came back from office..., opened motogp.com for fp3 results...

pleased as it is a dry session..

saw casey is fastest and leads by 0.6 secs - the usual

saw rossi at no.6...cursed him for being 1.6 secs from 1st..

realized all the factory honda/yamaha guys are above vale...then realize its randy at P3...thought where is simoncelli then?....then it hit me...am never going to see that name on timesheets again...., infinite sadness....I don't want to watch QP now....

                • Danny Webb takes pole position in the 125s. Awesome stuff! I am loving it

EDIT: He was .427 seconds faster than P2 and 2 seconds faster than P3 Zarco. That is a huge difference by 125 standards. Especially in the last race of the 125 era.

                      • Final race of the season. Not the best way to end it. Some thoughts wondered out loud (in no particular order):

                        1. Suzuki's future; and also what is Paul Bird doing at the MotoGP paddock
                        2. Congrats to Stefan Bradl! Tough luck for Marquez but I have a fair notion that we will see a lot of podiums from him next year.
                        3. Randy DePuniet was a surprise! The fastest Ducati to qualify! Good show.
                        4. And Congrats to Stoner on equalling Doohan's record 12 pole positions in a season. (Couldn't touch 1.31.001, could he? yeah, I know the weather yada yada but still )
                        5. Goodbye to Capirex! Haven't watched a lot of races of him in factory teams but judging from some of the videos and articles on the net, indeed a guy who has been around!
                        6. Not to hurt anyone's feelings but if Dovi hadn't signed for the Yamaha Tech3, probably he would have been considered as a replacement for Sic?

I on the other hand was like "Hey, someone is missing...". I kept going over the list for 3 to 4 times before seeing Bautista's helmet with 58. Man, I could understand what Speez meant when he said he was going to miss racing Marco.

                        • GOOD Luck to M&M, the bike looks good, clean & sharp. Hope to see a second team or more using this machinery with atleast one or two Indian Riders taking part with it.
