I can only imagine what would be going through colin's & vale's mind....having a fellow motorcycle racer die is tragic enough...but it happening to a friend under your wheels is a catastrophe....

however there is little both of them could have done...they were already at full lean exiting out of the corner...still this is going to be hard on them...,

In a hurry to clean up the track do they forget that they are carrying a fatally injured human being? Is this they way they should carry him off the track?

I missed the race as I had to go out, but I had it recorded, I login now and see this shocking news, I just dont have the courage to watch it now, shocked is too less a word to say, my heart goes out to his loved ones, MARCO we will miss u for sure.

If you watch the HD video, you can see the chinstrap came off due to the impacts.

Frankly speaking, I was sweating and shedding tears when I watched the video. He isn't even in my top 3 favourites' list, and yet his crash just thrashed me. The last few moments were just cruel.

Big man in white and red on that #58 San Carlo Gresini Honda RC212V 'll always be dearly missed.

Regarding what 'd hold Rossi's and Edwards' future, it is hard to speculate. I feel that they should continue racing.
Hope that some rules on helmet and neck protection are introduced to increase the safety measures.

PS: Just wanted see how Indian media is looking at his crash. Google News: No news at all. Pathetic!

I know, but they are trained to do so unfortunately. the marshals need to radio race direction in case a rider is laying unconscious on the track or next to it. they did red flag the race immediately though. but its not enough. i guess things will be sorted out eventually.

The tire went over his neck, snapping the latch open and thus the result that we all saw. tire marks were reported on No58's neck

It must be devastating for him and everyone to say the least, I had tears which I couldn't stop.. just can't imagine what they will be going through!

The hapless look of Colin while struggling to get to look at Simo & Rossi doing a cross (I can't think of an appropriate term) and shaking his head was enough to have sinking thoughts.

Simo just really pushed hard early on. His bike was moving around a lot during the first lap, up until the crash. He cleared off Edwards. I'm sure he wanted to stay up with the Repsols and not let them check out, and having Bautista's Suzuki dicing with him might have been disconcerting. He was pushing, battling hard, right on the edge. He was racing. He was a racer.

apperently somebody made a fake account(Vyellow46) and went about spreading rumours...including rossi's retirement & a supposed letter to sic.....utter chaos for some time until brivio and uccio clarified the situation....

My first thoughts were also that Rossi could hang his boots.Everything has been going wrong for him and now this.But i dont thing he should-anyway i want to see him take podium with #58 on his ride

Ranjith, with all respect, and I know you are also deeply hurt with Marco's death just like all of us, please remove that pic. It is very disturbing and to see one of your fav rider meeting a brutal death, is sickening.
