Looking at the Lap times it doesn't seem to be, Stoner(In WUP) posted a fastest lap about 1.4 sec slower than his Qp time. while Rossi posted a time 0.240 sec slower, which isn't any better. Yeah, cos most of the MotoGP riders don't seem to be interested in finishing the race...
look at the starting grid and then the number of guys crossing the finishing line today..
atleast Moto2 has position battles for more duration throughout the race distance

Feeling sad for Bautista/suzuki.. They were very unlucky this season.. Bautista injured right before Qatar.. now they were abt to the best position, He fought well but then rain spoilt it.. Very unlucky
